While possessing all of the paper punching power of the standard wadcutter, the double bevel base design offers the added advantage of being able to loaded the bullet in either direction without regard to top or bottom. These bullets work well for mass-production loading machines where you're feeding bullets quickly.

Notes:

Meister produces many of their bullets with either smokeless-powder lubricant or black-powder lubricant (SPG).

SPG-lubed bullets are specifically designed for use with black powder, but they may be used with smokeless powder.

Bullets which are not SPG-lubed should not be used with black powder.

Product description will list SPG lubricant if the bullets contain it.

If the product description does not list a lubricant, then those bullets are for use with smokeless powder only.

Only one problem. Though ...

Only one problem. Though they appear to be unidirectional, they are not. I loaded a few and test fired them and got two one-hole groups about 1.5" apart side-by-side at 25 feet. I loaded another batch, careful to put the gate end down (the end where the lead is poured) and all the shots went into the same hole. There must be some imbalance that causes them to go left or right depending on whether the gate end is up or down. As long as you are careful, these are great. If you accidentally put one in upside down, it will cost you points in competition. And sometimes its hard to tell which is the gate end with my old eyes because the non-gate end has some wrinkling from casting shrinkage and looks like the gate end. I have to check both ends to be sure. They are great for the price, but require care to get good results.
