It is designed to be used as a replacement for use on Big Game Feeders. The Varmint Guard provides 24/7 protection and the Digital Timer allows for feeding up to 9 times a day.

No instructions or warranty info is included in the box. This feeder will run a 7.5ah battery down in less than a month if set for 2 feedings a day. When the battery starts getting weak, corn begins to accumulate inside the varmint guard. When you replace the battery, you must clean out the excess corn inside the varmint guard or it will blow the 10 amp fuse on the motor. The doors will not lock down properly due to poor design. The test mode runs for 7-10 seconds, that's a lot of corn for just a test. I called Big Game and told them how disappointed I was in their product, but they weren't too sympathetic.
