I have very high standards and to rate it five stars it must be perfect. I rated this four stars but if I could do so I would rate this DVD 4.5 stars.It is not likely you will find a better DVD or video on disassembly/reassembly of Smith & Wesson revolvers than this one. Please note that I have not seen or reviewed the AGI offering on this subject. Note those items cost more. Miculek is a 'natural' and you can tell this is not scripted yet he speaks articulately and things move along smoothly. He is assisted by another afficionado who intermittently poses questions to him-and this is beneficial.I felt confident in disassembling/reassembling my L frame (and J frame!) after reviewing this DVD. The ironic thing is that unless you are a perfectionist I don't really see the need to remove and clean the items once you take off the side plate. IMHO, and this is my opinion only, thoroughly spraying Gun Scrubber or non-chlorinated disc brake cleaner or spraying a good solvent as depicted in the DVD and then oiling the insides pursuant to his recommendations may suffice in doing a cleanup for most shooters. In other words you don't have to remove the items from the frame but if you want to do so he certainly shows you how-step by step. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the money is well spent! I learned a lot, and will keep this in my library of DVD's. This video will save you thirty or thirty-five bucks each time in avoiding a 'flush and lube' or 'maintenance cleaning' or 'detailed strip cleaning' provided by a gunsmith for each S&W revolver that you own. The macro photography is excellent overall and I would recommend for even better viewing you watch it on HD or your laptop computer. The only reason I did not rate this excellent video a maximum of five stars was some out-of-focus macro photography (later focused), some blocked insertions due to camera angle where finger or thumb covered what he was doing, etc. These were minor imperfections.

Great instructional DVD. ...

Great instructional DVD. Clear instructions on complete disassemble. One thing they do not cover is rear sight and front sight removal, which would of been nice. If you plan on buying Jerry's Trigger job DVD, there is no need for this one. The Trigger Job DVD shown complete disassemble as well. I bought both as I did not know.

Very well done video. ...

Very well done video. Before I purchased this video, I knew next to nothing about the inner workings of a Smith and Wesson, now I am very comfortable taking it apart and reassembling with the help of Jerry. He details the inside of the revolver so a novice can follow very easily. It moves at a good pace, but not to fast. Jerry explains the parts very well. I will tell all my friends that want to know more about a revolver to purchase this video. One of the best videos I have purchased.
