This is the most inaccurate Hornet bullet I've shot in my Ruger 77/22 VHZ or CZ 527. The average 5 shot group is 1.75 at 50 yards. Comparing this accuracy to Sierra 40/45 and Hornady 35 V-Max and 45 SP (all of these bullets can shoot a 1" 5-shot group at 100 yards. The 35 V-max has a slight edge over the 45 grain Sierra. This 33 grainer may work better in other rifles or pistols.

These bullets are, quite frankly, the most accurate I've ever used in my .22 Hornet Thompson Contender. I used a moderate load of Ramshot "Enforcer" powder, neck sized WW-Super brass, and Winchester WSR primers.

I shoot these in a .22 ...

I shoot these in a .22 wildcat called the "Pip-Squeak" from Williams Shooting Supply in Tahlequah, Ok., based roughly on the Herrit K. At 2800 fps, this projectile will mist varmints; incredibly destructive! As far as accuracy is concerned, how does 5 shots in a ragged .435 spot at 150 yards sound? Excellent performance with a wide variety of powders, including AA1680, H110 and WW296. You've got to try these if your into exotic .22 caliber guns. They are the permanent replacement for me in this caliber for the only previous challenger, which was the Hornady V-Max.

I bought 1,000 of these ...

I bought 1,000 of these bullets when they were on a really, really good sale. Speer told me that they could not be loaded in a 223 cartridge and that a 223 barrel would spin these bullets to fast and that they would blow apart coming out of the barrel and the speed would be too fast. They are made for a 22 Hornet. I loaded them anyway in a 223 cartridge with H335 powder. My C.O.A.L. was 2.100 av....And they were crimped in using Lee's 223 crimper die, because of the bullet not being able to be seated very deep. At 100 yards I am getting sub moa. Five shots can be covered with a Nickel. Shooting a Hawkeye and a Savage model 12. They never blew apart. At 175yds. That's the furthest I can get, 8/10 were bullseyes. They were also devastating on 2x4 pieces of wood. These bullets, I cannot really say enough for them. I went out on a limb and they are great. I plan on using some of these to shoot prairie dogs in September. Remember, these are not made for these type of loading!!!!

These are great bullets. ...

These are great bullets. They shoot straight as any other Speer bullet. They fragment all to bits at 2300 fps even when there just hitting gallon jugs of water. No bullet jacket separation what so ever. The smallest fragments of the jacket still had lead stuck to them. I believe they would easily fragment down to 2000 fps and slower. I wish they made 250 or 500 packs of these.
