I've used it for many years and found it effective especially when I put a cleaning rod with a phospher/Bronze brush in a cordless electric drill. Takes very little time and smells good too.

Really a disappointing ...

Really a disappointing product.First, I' m really underwhelmed with the products ability to clean a firearm. I've used this product several times after leaving the range and have found it does not generate any noteworthy reduction in carbon or other residue when I finally perform a full cleaning later on. The firearms I use this product on are just as dirty as firearms I just threw in a case after shooting.Second, this product is sold as a good way to clean a gun without having to disassemble it. Despite such an intended use, the chemicals used in it are not safe for wood or plastic surfaces and will ruin the finish of a stock or fore grip almost instantly. My friend used this spray on his Remington 870 and, despite his best efforts, got a bit on a corner of the wood stock. The spray was on the surface for only a few moments, but still managed to ruin the finish on that part of the stock.The directions do say that wooden & plastic surfaces should be covered prior to spraying, but a chemical that is able to do damage so quickly will obviously require a careful planning & meticulous application of covering to all wood/plastic surfaces. When that much set up is needed to apply the chemical, the convenience of not disassembling the rifle to apply it is quickly forgotten.To summarize the chemical doesn't clean well enough to replace a proper cleaning & it requires careful application to avoid damaging non-metal components, so I really wouldn't recommend it.
