Satern Powder Funnels are great funnels for a reloader looking for a funnel in a particular caliber. They are made from static free aluminum and brass making them suitable for use with smokeless or black powder. The caliber-specific sizes create a snug fit that will keep the funnel tight on the case neck while powder is flowing into the case without bridging.

I love this funnel! Absolutely a must if you are loading the Hornet (the thin brass usually allows the case to slip into even a NEW funnel). It's as light or lighter than the plastic and should last a lifetime. (I can put it on a Hornet case and it will balance...even on that tiny base.) There is no problem with static or bridging, every piece of powder goes into the case every time. If I have problems getting other calibers or powders to load, I will buy another in a snap. Well worth the price! Only one downside - it's round, so it rolls. I may put a couple crimps in the edge with a vice grip. :)

It looks great and does ...

It looks great and does provide hands free performance as will sit on top of your case without tilting or falling off. However, for loading my .223 with Win. 748 ball powder, performance was less than satisfactory. Consistently experienced problems with powder getting on the outside of the case neck. Have not tried with other types of powder. Unfortunately I do not use this funnel anymore.

I have most of these funnels and hope some day to have them all ,once you use one you will not be going back to what ever you were using when you do believe me it's not where I want to be.Get your self a step up in your reloading,like Mikie says try it you'll like it.

I ordered this .22 caliber funnel & the one I got does not fit tightly on the case mouth as advertised. It will wobble some & allow smaller powders to leak thru. Others here say theirs fit tightly which leads me to believe that Satern has a problem with quality control. Another Satern funnel I ordered was the .30 caliber and it won't even fit on the end of the unsized case mouth. I assume, since I have not tried it yet, that a "resized" case will. I do like the overall quality of the funnel itself being metal & all, but the fit is not cracked up to what we're led to believe.

I now only use these funnels. They work PERFECTLY! Zero downsides. They fit tightly over the brass and every bit of powder enters the casing. What more can you ask for?

First class funnel. I'm loading .22 hornet- no spills even when left unattended on brass and the powder is poured in. No grains remain or hanging. Silky smooth. Great asset for speed. (Bought this to replace the hopeless Lee red plastic "universal" funnel which would receive 1 star at best.)

Works perfect. I reload a lot of .223 for my AR-15 and this sits and balances perfectly on top of the rounds in my tray. Haven't experienced any static or leakage with it, and would recommend it to everyone!

I got this to replace my RCBS universal Junker funnel. This one works 100x better than the RCBS, but the one thing I would change is a tighter tolerance on the meeting point of the aluminum to the brass. Theres a lip mismatch that the powder occasionally gets stuck on. If not for that minor issue I would rate this 5 stars. Despite the lip issue, this is still worth every penny over an RCBS plastic universal funnel.

Poor quality control, ...

Poor quality control, deformed areas on the inside of the funnel trap some powders, H335 for one. Powder retained cannot be transferred to the case in an acceptable way. Also the fit of brass on the funnel to case leaves a lot to be desired. Would not recommend this product.

Well worth the cost. I've used one of the Satern funnels for about 5 years now, and have no complaints. It's a precision-made tool that does not wear out with normal use. It aligns perfectly on the neck of the cartridge to prevent the spillage that happens with the plastic funnels. That used to happen to me once every tray or two with the plastic funnels, but has never happened even once with the Satern funnel. Over the years, it's probably paid for itself in powder not spilled, not to mention aggravation savings. Highly recommended.
