Product Information

The ProMag Saiga 12 12-round drum magazine is constructed of high strength carbon fiber reinforced polymer. This drum will only work with 12 gauge 2-3/4" shells. The drum features steel inserts in the feed lips for long-term durability, and reliable operation. The loading lever on the back of the drum makes filling this 12-round drum magazine easy.

A good buy

I was a bit timid about buying this from the bad rep it had. I had to fit it to my gun using a metal file, it wasn't hard and the instructions were pretty good on how to do this. Test loaded it at home 3 times to make sure it would hold all the rounds and feed correctly, a tricky process at first but after some practice you can loas 3 shells at a time. Took it to the range and fired 5, 10, 15, and then 20 round test groups with no failures then shot a full drum five times, still no failures even with the last three drum shot as fast as i could pull the trigger. Ammo used was Remington sport loads and Winchester universal 2 3/4 shells, 7 1/2 shot, the cheap stuff. Maybe i got lucky, maybe the other guys did something wrong, not sure. I am sure that this is working well so far.

This drum was well worth what I paid. The only problem I had was that it didn't fit right out of the box, but it was so easy and quick to do with the provided instructions that a toddler could manage it. This has to be the best attachment I bought for this gun so far. I have put over 100 rounds of target loads in so far, and it actually seems to work better than the factory mag. This is a must have for anyone who enjoys shooting.

My saiga would not strip ...

My saiga would not strip rounds from this drum until I polished every surface inside my gun and put graphite inside the drum. After less than 150 rounds two of the plastic clips that hold the backplate on have cracks all the way through them. I can see cracks developing in the rest of the clips on the drum. I would estimate firing another 60 rounds could cause the drum to fall apart completely. All this damage was caused with low brass ammo.

Broke after about 60rds, I only clearance the mag to just fit into the gun, so it wasn't a lack of materials, and I was using birdshot, so there was no reason for it to break.

I'm saving 5 stars for the mythical perfect product. The fun factor is off the charts. Ya got ta break it in! So if ya don't hand load fill it and empty it by hand a few times ta save some money . If ya do load, mine seemed ta like blue dot. It's big! Cut a 34 oz coffee can in half. It's heavy when loaded! Oh yeah! don't assume a load that feeds from your stick will feed from the drum. Try it before something goes bump in the night. As far as fitting goes if ya can't do this ya shouldn't own a gun anyway. Hope this helps. Have fun

I have every brand of aftermarket S12 stick & drum magazine out there and I am impressed with this drum mag. It runs like a champ and has not failed me in 500+ rounds of 00 buck & slugs. I have had some failures to eject with cheap bird shot loads, but my Saiga does that with all my mags as the guns gas system dont like the light loads. I am happy they made the mag oversized so you can fit it to the gun, I have 3 Saiga 12s and the mag wells are a little different on all of them.

I took a chance and ...

I took a chance and ordered one with the hope that it would be better than their other mags. I was wrong. I did not mind having to fit the drum with a file because this is due to the shotgun tolerances not the magazine. The drum does not feed well even with new factory 2-3/4" shells. I tried AA trap loads, Federal field loads and military 00 Buck, all with the same results. I get at least 2 jams with each drum load. The factory and surefire mags work flawlessly. This piece of junk is going back.
