If you are seeking to buy a pointed pellet for hunting purposes, this one is clean, well-formed and retains velocity downrange fairly well as pointed pellets go. I always measure the velocity of the pellets I use at the muzzle and again at 20 yards to determine how well they carry downrange. To my surprise, most round-nosed pellets did considerably better than the pointed ones. However, in the RWS .22 caliber offerings, the Superpoint does retain velocity slightly better than the Superdome. At 14.5g in weight, the Superpoint is not as heavy as I prefer for hunting at ranges beyond 20 yards because it cannot reach the energy levels given by some heavier pointed pellets with good velocity retention. Test for accuracy before you stock up on this product. It is accurate in several of my rifles but some others I own would not shoot it consistently to the point of aim. If it will not feed readily into the chamber of your bolt-gun, move it forward with a finger tip to start it in and then push the bolt home. I found this made a big difference in my guns that it tended to hang up in.

This pellet gave me 1" ...

This pellet gave me 1" groups at 20 yards and one shot kills on squirrels and rabbits.The only reason I gave it four stars was because it didn't feed all that well into my Crossman model 2289G.
