I went out to do some ...

I went out to do some pumpkin plinking after Halloween with my Mossberg Maverick Model 88 28" Accu-choke pump-action. The low recoil, tight-groupings, and plating all combine to make this an excellent plinking/home-defense/coyote shell out to 60 yards. The recoil feels like half or even a third of a standard 2-3/4" shell. Absolutely no pain or red marks on the shoulder after shooting 5-round salvos - repeatedly. The groupings were fist-size at 15 yards and hand-size at 25 yards. The nickel-plating ensures good penetration at longer-ranges and seems to contribute to the tighter groupings -- perhaps because the pellets remain round through the gun barrel/choke. At 15 yards, the pumpkins were explosive! Each shot would vaporize one-quarter to one-third of the pumpkin with pumpkin juice mist for several seconds.

If you have a pump shotgun that has a pistol grip without the butt stock and your hand hurts by using regular buckshot ammo or you just don't like the recoil of pump shotguns with regular buckshot. This is the perfect ammo for you, because of the reduced recoil. If you're one of those people that uses birdshot instead of buckshot on their pump action shotgun, because of painful recoil this is the ammo for you. This ammo is also great for our wives that don't like pump shotgun recoil. I don't recommend this for semi auto shotguns, due to reliability issues.

I love this load. No, it doesn't cycle my Benelli semi auto, but I didn't expect it to, and I am not sure how others do. For a pump or single shot, this is a fun practice round and I use them as a home defense round. The price is hard to beat too!

Great load for a pump. As another person said, will not cycle in my Benelli M1 Super 90, but that's expected. I keep this in my 870 and will be ordering more.

This Fiocchi low-recoil buckshot will not cycle a Magnum Remington 1100 action or some Saiga-12 shotguns, although the Federal low-recoil buckshot will. This being said, it works perfectly in my standard Remington 1100, and it a pleasure to shoot in break-action and pump shotguns. It doesn't shoot as tight as other low-recoil buckshot from the bigger name US manufacturers, but is quite acceptable for most defensive shotgun needs. The recoil is like a low-brass skeet load, and makes for quick follow-up shots. If your shotgun needs a heavy load to run, however, this is not the load for you.

This is an excellent round. For the price, it really cannot be beat. It patterns well and functions flawlessly through my Remington 870 with an after-market Mossberg 18 1/2" barrel. At 25 yards, all of the pellets hit just within a chest-sized target.

This ammo is reduced recoil and has about the same kick as 2-3/4, 1-1/8oz #8 shot. Perfect for target shooting or when you do not need full power loads. Please do not give bad reviews if the ammo does not cycle semi autos. That is your guns problem. Works fine in my 870.
