The Wilson Combat ETM (Elite Tactical Magazine) is constructed of Aircraft Grade Certified Stainless Steel Tube and resists corrosion. The ETM boasts the strongest magazine to have ever been delevoped. Featuring an enhanced spring and The which virtually eliminates feed lip cracking, tube spread and general fatigue. It has a longer body to allow for less compression on the magazine spring with no appreciable difference in size compared to seven round magazines. Utilizing an enhanced spring and the strongest body in a production magazine, failure to feed due to cracked feed lips or spring fatigue are virtually eliminated.

Technical Information:

Both sides of the tube have witness slots

Follower has an extended skirt to minimize creep from the tube when the magazine is empty

Base pad is designed to provide a sure grip when pulling the magazine from a pouch

Notes on Selecting the Correct 1911 Magazine:

If the grips on your 1911 measure 4" long, you have a Government/Commander length grip

If the grips on your 1911 measure 3-1/2" long, you have an Officer/Defender length grip

I was about to get rid of my 9mm 1911 until I found these magazines. Other magazines worked great with ball ammo but were questionable at best with hollow points. I bought 2 of these magazines and took them to the range to try them out. I shot a variety of loads from different manufactures and they all fed with no jams or malfunctions. Every round fed flawlessly. I threw my old mags out and will definitely order more of these. If you own a 9mm 1911 buy these ETM magazines!

I have Wilson Combat mags for all my .45 caliber 1911 type autos from top of the line Kimbers to rock bottom Rock Island Armory pistols. Don't let the low price of the Rock Island fool you it's a reliable shooter. I bought two Wilson 10 round stainless 9mm mags at a local gun shop. I never expected an issue with the Rock Island 9mm and Wilson magazines. My other .45 autos run well with Wilson mags and they are considered top of the line magazines. Sadly these stainless Wilson 9mm mags just will not feed in my budget priced Rock Island 9mm pistol. Colt and Metalform mags run fine in the Rock but not the Wilson. Literally every round jams. Even hardball mil-spec ammo jams on every round from both of the Wilson mags. Wilson is a premier magazine in my Kimbers and Springfields in .45 but not 9mm in the Rock Island.

Outstanding magazine

Bought 5 of these magazines for my Springfield 1911 loaded 9mm. Works as well as, if not better than the factory mags. Easier to tap in the mags as the base of the mag extends beyond the grip's base and ejects without any problems. Feeds flawlessly, I never got a misfeed or jam with over 600 rounds used.

Not up to par

I got 4 of these for my new 9mm Springfield Loaded 1911. My Father-in-law swears by his Wilson mags for his .45 1911, so I gave these a go... They dont function as well as the stock mags unfortunately. The biggest concern is on reloads, when you release the slide it will not bring a round into battery. You have force the slide forward at this point... not very comforting. All four magazines do this and neither of my stock mags have this issue. This is with many different types of ammo. Bottom line the finish is great but the product doesn't work with my pistol.

I purchased a few of these magazines recently. One of the mags has a problem loading the fourth round because the follower is catching on the magazine catch slot - this can be fixed, but I expected more from Wilson Combat. NOTE TO KIMBER PRO CARRY II OWNERS: these magazines may contact your feedramp and cause damage, they did to mine and others on the forums. This could be a Kimber issue, I am not pointing any fingers, just a warning. My Kimber has been modified to work with all magazines now and works extremely well. I am planning to buy more ETMs despite a few up front difficulties.

Nice mags, everything works just fine. Only problem is they are just a tad bit high. If you do fast reloads, you can bend or damage your ejector. I use these now just for range practice no fast drills and they function just great.

Wilson Combat produces argueably the best magazines for 9mm 1911s. I noticed right off the bat that the overall quality was much higher then the stock mag from Kimber. The stock mag wouldn't go into battery while these did. Recommended first upgrade.

Simply the finest for Colt Mark4. Functions flawlessly. One thing to consider (Relevant to rating mags but off topic) is getting the resting hand off of the bottom of the gun when shooting. This is a bad practice for auto-loading pistols in general because the bottom cupping hand may force up the mags feed lips onto the slide and can result in a miss-feed, or hang up in many other guns because it is an opposing force to the slide inertia and speed. It mainly depends on the base foot of the pad to frame spec. If you shoot with the resting hand cupping the bottom of the grip you might want to try mags without a base pad. I always use Wilson's mags when I can't get an ACT mag for a caliber choice. They are both simply the best.

I bought two of these to use with a new STI Spartan, and neither will function - the feed lips are too high and drag on the slide. One won't allow the slide to close at all, the other will allow the slide to be forced closed but effectively wedges it in place. I don't know which is out of spec, the gun or the mags, but a) the factory mag that came with the gun works just fine, and b) mags are a whole lot cheaper than the gun.
