The Lee Precision Factory Crimp Die is designed to give reloaders the perfect crimp on each round of reloaded ammunition. The Factory Crimp Die crimps the bullet more firmly in place than any other die with more uniform pressure. The Factory Crimp Die features a collet that squeezes the case mouth into the crimping groove for a firm hold. It is nearly impossible to buckle the case when crimping when compared to a regular roll crimp die. Lee's testing has shown that using a Factory Crimp Die provides a more uniform pressure curve, increasing the accuracy of any bullet. Shellholder sold separately.

Over the past thirty ...

Over the past thirty years I shunned the practice of crimping rounds for my bolt action rifles. As a rifle silhouette shooter, bench rest competitor and long range chuck hunter I never loaded more than one round at a time and in my experience crimping was a detriment to accuracy. that was until bob enck of enck's gun barn convinced my pea sized brain to try these lee factory crimp dies. at 100 yards the five shot groups from my .25/06 chuck rifle shrunk from a ragged quarter sized hole to a dime sized sub-caliber group along with an 80 fps average increase in velocity. a friend of mine, Tim Ernest, was with me during the testing. Tim is a proficient marksman but he doesn't get the chance to shoot very often. his result with the same rifle was virtually a .25 caliber bullet sized hole. the lee factory crimp die is a tool that produces an impressive end result vs. cost ratio. ok...Im done now.

Used extensively on neck ...

Used extensively on neck sized hunting rounds to secure bullets better. Works w/o affecting precision too much- 1" @140yds. I also have this in 30-06. Easy to set-up. Cheap.I like it very much.
