I thought I would try this holster with a S&W 1-7/8" airweight revolver. I was vary disapointed. The fit is way too tight for that gun, no mater how much "fitting" you try to do. The plastic clip is too hard preventing the holster from ever forming to any gun that is carried in the holster. The angle of the holster with the gun installed and the clip locked into your belt will make the but of the pistol stick out like a small tree limb.The combination of the clip, holster material, and revolver cylinder makes the thickness seem like yo have a small artillery piece in your waist band. The only good thing I can say is, the price was cheap.

I bought this holster for my wife to use with her Colt .38 Detective Special (a Colt DS series II snub-nosed revolver). The holster, in and of itself, is ok...soft, supple and the clip works. But I only gave it one star because was advertised to fit her revolver. It is actually much too loose for a Colt Detective Special regardless of Series. However, if it HAD fit the revolver, it would have been worth the price asked and I would have rated it 3 stars.

I bought one of these for pocket carry with a Taurus 85. It fits the revolver snuggly, covers the trigger guard and works very well for draw from the pocket. The outside suede is sticky enough that the revolver never comes out with the holster still attached, unless a very deliberate effort is made. I've not used the clip for belt carry, but it helps to conceal the revolver outline in the pocket.

My experience was pretty much the same as the other reviewer. I bought the holster for my Ruger SP101 but the holster was too tight to fit around the trigger guard. I'm not sure if I got a bad holster or all of these are made too tight but it definitely won't fit the SP101 as labeled. The plastic and metal belt clip also adds too much thickness to the holster which kind of defeats the purpose of a thin leather holster.

Snug, but good fit on ...

Snug, but good fit on Taurus 2" UltraLight 5 shot 38 Special revolver. Not sure about a pocket carry with this as it doesn't hold the handgun upright. But as a IWB, it is a fine little holster. The clip is very powerful and will keep the holster attached to your belt something fierce! It will take two hands to get the clip off your belt. Very thin material that doesn't add to concealment problems and leather has good griping power. Worth the money.
