Bought these to practice ...

Bought these to practice with a Glock 30 SF and a Springfield XD .45 APC Compact. Worked better than we thought. Tried at 10+ feet. Used small and large Pistol Primed .45 ACP. Tried to use Cardboard layers to stop it, punched clean through. Lost 2 of them. Need to find/build a good trap for these. The two that got away bounced pretty good.

These work very well using regular primers for 45acp I did not drill out primer hole. Added primer to spent case, pushed bullet in with thumb and put very slight crimp on casing using bullet seat die. These are great for practice.

An excellent product. I've had mine (in both sizes) for several years and they work as well today as when they were new. Drilling the flash holes out is a good idea - the primers often will set back if that's not done. Trimming the drilled brass short also helps prevent confusion. These rubber bullets will go through both sides of a soda pop can - and then some, so they're not toys and all due caution should be used, just like "real" ammo.

I absolutely love these practice bullets. Accuracy is acceptable for training and they are a safer alternative for practicing your draw. They require a little more work than other similar products (drilling flash hole), but the plastic cases used in other products usually crack or split after two uses. By using brass cases these things last indefinitely. Just remember to keep your practice cases separate from your normal cases. (Brass not included).

I am a firearms instructor for my department and use the x-ring bullets for my shoot, challange or don't shoot training. I am using my old patio furniture cushions in a range I set up in my garage as backstops behind good guy, bad guy targets and the bullets drop to the ground and are easy to retrieve. They do hurt like hell when they bounce back, so even with a good backstop to be safe, wear full face protection and a heavy coat for the odd bouncers. Great product

Used these in a Marlin ...

Used these in a Marlin stainless guide gun for paper targets in the garage. Very accurate! They punch a clean hole every time with just a primer (no powder!!), right where they are aimed. I have bonged a large flat metal object at a hundred feet or so (about 3 feet in diameter), while aiming "on" target, so not much drop. Case mouth should be "crimped" then you can push the plug in almost all the way. I can stack the tube magazine "full" (4 rounds) without the plug pushing all of the way into the case. All four rounds will feed perfectly without "misfeeds". I have tried the solid plastic ones, but you have to go through the full reloading process to get the same function, and even then, some brass will not work as well as others, they won't crimp down tight.

I'm using these in both a .45 Colt carbine & short barrelled revolver with superior accuracy fired with large pistol primers only. I'm using brass with the flash holes opened to twice normal size and the rims notched to avoid use in powder loads. Great indoors or outdoors.

These bullets are great ...

These bullets are great for trying to cure friends/relatives of their bad flinching habits, or for times when you feel like punching holes in paper targets at home. I have used these in a Kimber with a 5" barrel and PMC large pistol primers in the back yard. They are very accurate at 20 feet, where I have my cardboard box bullet trap set up. Two shots going through the same hole are common at this distance, and the accuracy is comparable to range ammo. The trajectory is flat. I even chrono'd a few of these and the average velocity was 520 feet per second with the primer alone(no powder). These bullets will go through a cardboard box, and do take off the top layer of finish from wooden surfaces, so make sure you put a few old t-shirts or the equivalent amount of cushion in your bullet trap! I did have a lot of failures to feed from the magazine, which was almost completely fixed by holding the gun upside down while manually cycling the slide after each shot. I have used my hundred bullets two times already, and the second time I did see plastic residue(long thin black strands) in my barrel, with occasional shots that went slightly off the point of aim. I am not sure how many more times I can use them before they fall apart, but I still give them a five star rating for the ease of use and accuracy.
