Just received this bipod, and I am pleasantly surprised. It attaches to the bayonet lug in a second with the pull of the pin. What civilian actually uses a bayonet on their AR-15 anyway, so I thought this mounting solution would work well and it does. This bipod appears to be very sturdy, and should last some time. Legs fold forward, and rear. It also comes with another lug adapter that looks to be a little larger than the standard Mil. spec lug. I have purchased other products from NcStar and I have not been disappointed.For the price, and ease of use, you can't beat this bipod.

This bipod did not work with my bayonet lug at all. I dammaged it trying to get it on (a bushmaster front sight that easily accepts a bayonet). Then the legs flopped arround after they were opened up. When you extend and retract the length it feels like there is sand grinding inside, a couple of times in and out wore the black off. Just poor workmanship overall. Keep searching for another bipod.

This is a Great bipod for the price. Excellent value. Fit directly onto my Bushmaster AR bayonet lug. Expecially like the quick release. I mainly use my gun for hunting and have shot 30-40 rounds with this bipod and it took it all with no issues. May not hold up so well for people using for target shooting and 1000's of rounds. But for the price, its a heck of a deal!!!

I have a CMMG AR-15. Have not had much luck with NCSTAR products. I'm starting to think they are for airsoft only. This bi pod is horrible in many ways. #1 It is too tight and needs to be lubed with grease to fold the legs forward they are extremely stiff, the metal grinds and there is no way to adjust the stiffness so a couple times of folding the legs forward and deploying them will carve the metal and the bi pod is wobbley as all heck. #2. the quick release button came out and I couldn't get it to stay in place. #3. It comes with 2 attachments for the bayonet lug one was too small the other was too large, I saw a hex adjustment of some sort on the attachment but it didn't seem to do anything since there is only one place for the thread. So the bi pod didn't secure to the rifle the way I wanted. Really wish this worked as I wanted to mount a bi pod to the bayonet lug.

The unit I got was very difficult to unfold. When finally unfolded the bracket was scratched up. Once attached to the lug, it does not lock and I can slide it right out without pressing the button. Overall very poor quality.

This bi-pod is a great inexpensive idea if you don't have a quad rail. I did have a clearance issue. I had to grind down the lug on my DPMS upper. Kind of a pain and marked up the bi-pod in the process.

I think this is a deal. I have a lr 308C. The bayonet connection is good and solid. There is a lot of play with with these bipods which is prob. because they are designed for combat not bench shooting. If you are like me, very poor, can't afford new handgaurds this will do the trick.

This is an update from what I rated this bipod before, now that I have used it for a year or so, the mounting block that attaches to the lug is showing alot of ware. The metal is just too soft and the lug just digs into the mount and it has become very sloppy. I will be looking for a better one soon, this one will not last much longer.

I would not purchase this item again. The first one I had broke both legs off the first time I tried to open it. Sent it back, MidwayUSA replaced, great service. I was just able to use the new bi-pod for the first time. It took forever to get the "quick" connect to actually connect to my bayonet lug. Then once I had it attached it would not come off. So when I took it to the range today it lasted about 20 rounds through my 6.8SPC AR before it just fell off. I could not get it to attach back on. I am going to try and return it for MidwayMoney credit. This attempt to "buy cheap" just did not work out for me.

This bipod may not be the tightest & slickest on the market, but considering the price, I couldn't expect more. I'm very pleased with its quality & performance. If you're a stickler for highly machined & finished accessories and are willing to spend the money, you may be better off considering a more expensive one, (as I eventually will) but for a bipod that is affordable & simply does the job, this may be the one for you.

This bipod was just what I was looking for my AR. It is more than tough enough, provides flexibility in aiming yet still provides a solid shooting platform, can quickly detach, and folds forward or rearward. I had no issues whatsoever mounting it to my Bushmaster. If some light lubrication is applied to the lug before use, it should take care of the light "scratching" some reviewers have complained about. For AR owners on a tight budget, like myself, one can't beat it.

GREAT for the money. Doesn't wiggle when closed and allows just enough movement when open to be able to zero in on the target without having to move the bipod. Opens/closes easily. Well built. Slightly heavier than more expensive models by maybe an ounce or 2.
