NOTE: These moon clips are extremely tight fitting and require significant pressure to insert or remove ammunition. Care must be taken to ensure the clip is not damaged during the process.

I have a judge and I saw a you tube video that someone said you can use the moon clips for 45 ACP in a Taurus Judge, and I ordered them and with a little twinking and making sure I get low power 45 ACP rounds, it shoots great.

No Judge can use a moon clip. It will not close or could blow in your hand. I called Taurus with the question.

To start, Midway's service was great no problems there. I have a Night Court Judge that is several years old. It has a 2-1/2 cylinder, a 3" br and it is all blue steel. My moon clips arrived today and the size was perfect. The 45 acp ammo clip into the clip just fine. BUT...the cylinder does sticks and won't rotate! The bullet stick up a bit due to the thickness of the moon clip. I did fix the problem with my gun. I took large file and smooth of the frame of my Judge where the heads of the bullets would rub. This worked great, in fact even fix the problem I had with cheep 410 ammo. It would also stick after it was fired and keep me from opening the cylinder to remove them. So as far as a product review goes they were not a waste of my time or money, it took a little time to file my gun but it was well worth it. The 45ACP are less then haft the cost of the 45LC and now my 1911 and my Judge use the same ammo plus My Judge loads faster because the clips act as a speed loader. I will be ordering another set very soon. Time to file the Judge was about 6 hours. I did it very slowly as I did not want to damage it, only fix it.

The Taurus Judge is not ...

The Taurus Judge is not and never has been intended to shoot .45 ACP ammo, only .45 Colt. These work fine in my Stellar Tracker .45 ACP revolver. They must be from the factory as there is no difference between them and the originals that came with the revolver.

These clips are just what I wanted. They fit the 45 ACP great, but do not work in in the Taurus Public Defender they are too thick.

OK..first off I have to say Midway has been great.I told the that the moon clips they sent were wrong so they said they would send me another set FREE. Also note Midway get these from taurus so if they dont work its not like midway made them. OK they arrived today and the size is perfect and the 45 acp clip in just fine..BUT...the cylinder wont close! The bullet sticks up a bit due to the thickness of the moon clip and the cylinder wont close due to the bullet hitting the frame. So as far as a product review goes this are a waste of money..at least if your getting them for a Taurus Judge..as far a Midway goes I give them credit for trying. The moon clips I rate as POOR..Midway I rate as GREAT.

Could not load a single round into these. Way too small, tried 5 different 45acp factory ammo. I think they are defects, or fit 9mm not 45acp. Worthless.

I recieved these a few weeks ago for my Taurus Judge and today went up and bought a box of 45 ACP ammo.The 45 ACP will NOT fit in the moon clip sent. I took a 9mm out of my glock just out of curiosity and it worked in the moon clip. I waited months for these to come in ...BEWARE.

These clips are outstanding. They fit perfectly and can be used without a tool to load and unload them. I have been using them for over a year and have had no durability or wear issues. They are very inexpensive considering time and effort they save.
