The Forster Chamfer and Deburring Tool Base allows a reloader to mount their Forster Deburring tool to their reloading bench, reducing fatigue that can be caused by holding the deburring tool by hand while chamfering and deburring 100's of cases. This base holds the chamfer and deburring tool so the cutter is facing one direction to increase efficiency purchase a second base and deburring tool and keep one setup for chamfering and the other for deburring.

Great tool! No more hand ...

Great tool! No more hand cramps. Very easy to cut too deep so go slow with light pressure. The RCBS accessory handles fit this so I use it to clean primer pockets too. Too bad the Forster chamfer/deburr tool doesn't have the "pilot" in the center to guide small-caliber brass.

I have two of these mounted on a piece of plywood ( one to inside and one to outside trim) with their case trimmer and priming tool as a work station. When I am done with this segment of my process, I unclamp the whole thing and store it back in the shelf.

This base along with the Forster Chamfer and Deburring tool is the single best improvement I have made in my reloading equipment. I mounted mine on a small piece of wood that I put in my regular garage vise. After that it is quite simple to process more than a hundred pieces of brass in less than an hour. If you are like me and do not have one of the electric brass processors or if you are still deburring by hand this tool is a great improvement. Be sure to get the accompying Forster Chamfer Deburring tool as I am not sure the other brands will fit in this base.

This is an excellent, extremely high quality tool base that should last forever. It makes the chamfering and deburring job go significantly faster than simply holding the double-ended tool in your hand. I've read reviews on other products where folks chuck these tools in adapters so they can do this job with a power drill--in my opinion this is like putting a 1000cc engine on your child's first bicycle and about as useful, because you only need a turn or two in order to remove outside burrs and to cut a very slight chamfer inside the neck of a case. Using high RPMs will weaken the case mouth and cut longevity of your brass. This tool base bridges the gap between handling a tool manually and using unnecessary and pointless electric power. By the way, I read another review where someone wrote that an RCBS deburring/chamfering tool would not fit in this Forster tool base so I walked down to my loading bench and double-checked my own set-up. I currently have an RCBS tool chucked into my Forster tool base. Is it possible RCBS has changed the size of their tool since I bought mine? I suppose, but it's always good to read as many reviews as possible.

This base plus the chamfer & deburring tool is great! It helps get a smooth, even result on small and large diameter case mouths without firing up my carpal tunnel syndrome. I agree with C. Santiago's observation that a guide rod on the deburring end would help. However, it is such a good tool combination that I am going to order a second one to mount next to the first tool base. Use one for chamfer and the second for deburring to really speed up the case chamfer/deburring process.

This will save your wrist and the ends of your fingers when you use the deburring end. Be conservative, tool is very sharp and will remove a lot of brass if youre not careful. Forster has the quality tools that everyone should try and do their own comparisons. May want to mount this and their trimmer on a little higher spacer to allow freedom to turn the handles, otherwise NICE!!

This is just the base, you also need the Forster Chamfer and Deburring tool. When used together they become a great tool. It greatly reduces the time it takes to do the cases. It used to take me at least 45 painful minutes to do 200 cases, now I can do them in 10 pain free minutes. My only complaint is that the deburring end of the tool does not have a rod guide like the RCBS tool does, so you have to be careful when using the deburring end on small cases, i.e. Remington .223. Unfortunately the RCBS chamfering/deburring tool does not fit in this base, but I would still recommend this tool.
