The HKS Revolver Speedloader instantly drops cartridges with just the slightest twist, loading the entire cylinder of your revolver. Strong metal points hold cartridges securely in the lightweight polymer body until released. The knurled aluminum knob allows for a sure grip under the most stressful circumstances and the also makes the speedloaders easier to grab out of a pouch. All HKS products are proudly made in the USA.

I purchased five of these 7-shot HKS speeder loaders for my S&W 686+ because they were the only ones I knew about. Im very unhappy with these and regret the purchase. Im not sure if all HKS speeder loaders suffer from the problems I have experienced or if it is specific to the 7-shot model. As already stated by another reviewer, the plastic between the chambers is extremely thin and while I have not experienced warping I feel that it is only a matter of time before the thin plastic warps/breaks. However, my biggest complaint is that at least one or two cartridges always end up sticking in the speed loader. The cartridges stick even after vigorous shaking/jiggling of the speed loader. Ive tested this with all five of my speeder loaders with different .38 special and .357 magnum cartridges from different manufacturers and the result is almost always the same. At least one to two cartridges stick to the point where you have to use your fingers to get them out. Considering what this product is supposed to be for its just unacceptable to have these random snags due to slight rim diameter variations. Ive even gone to the extreme and attempted boring out the plastic chambers in one of my speed loaders in order to widen the holes slightly to prevent snags. Doing so did allow the cartridges to drop out freely due to gravity but the already paper thin plastic between the chambers is now that much weaker. Its unfortunate I have to give these things such a bad review but hopefully this will prevent others from wasting money.

These work great in my s&w 686, I never had any problems with rounds sticking in them. I would buy these again in a heartbeat, work awesome and price is right!

I bought several of these speedloaders upon hearing many good things about them, however, the plastic in between the holes are VERY thin and ended up cracking/snapping off, preventing the cartiridges from releasing properly! I had to carve away the thin plastic completely so it wont "stick" the cartridges and now it works fine.

Have not had these problems, but they don' t last forever and you need to know how to us them, cartridges should enter the holes , twist knob and drop speed loader , no shaking should occur, if they don't go .. you should clean all chambers VERY well ,as if loading by hand and fall free, if this does not work ,have chambers caphered to accept cartridges. Hope this helps.Also if you shoot ,38's in .357 ,you need to clean you'r gun before using .357's again, they are longer and foul the chambers.

The walls have to be thin ...

The walls have to be thin for a seven shot revolver because the pockets MUST LINE UP with the pockets in the revolver. Compare the wall thickness of you revolver with the wall thickness of a six shot revolver. Even if they made the overall diameter bigger, the walls will still be the same thickness.

My experience with the 7 round loader is the same as the other reviewer; I have two and some cartridge rims drag on the loaders wall and do not release with gravity alone. HKS should address this.
