The Lyman 4-Cavity Ingot Mold with Handle is the perfect choice for bullet casters looking for and ingot mold to melt down scrap lead, empty their furnace or blending that custom mixture of alloys. Each cavity will form a 1 lb stackable ingot. The sides of the mold have a 30 degree draft for easy ejection of lead ingots.

I have one, getting ready to purchase another. Yes- handle design stinks. The thing would not stay put, drilled, tapped a 6-32. Lasted couple hard runs then broke at hole. Drilled a .030" hole forward of break and run SS safety wire through and around tang area. Couple hundred pounds and hanging in there.

I have converted many hundreds of pounds of wheel weights into ingots for cast bullets. Of four different ingot molds I have used.......this is the best. Made of aluminum and has a wooden handle so you dont have to use pliers to dump the mold. An excellent product.

Product must be assembled by tapping the handle onto the cast aluminum mold. My handle started to split due to the graduated design of the casting. I put a hose clamp on the front, and it should hold together. Perhaps a harder wood would split so easily. Seems a little low on quality, but now that it is together it works fine. BTW... get two. You can let one cool while you fill the other.

I find that the addition of a handle makes this a lot more user friendly. I keep this under the lead pot to catch drips as well as to make ingots. very useful.

Does ok for what it's intended, that is small batches. For making large amounts of ingots it's too small.
