Pro's:When it works, it ...

Pro's:When it works, it does a absolute wonderful job. It is spring loaded at the time, just put the tip in your pan, press down on the tip, and let off. When you raise the tip off the pan, the powder will flow into the pan. It is quick, easy, accurate, and consistent.Con's: It has a brass tube that slides up and down inside a chamber. This tube has a small ring that the spring uses to "Spring Load" the tip. This is all good, until you use it a few times. What happens, is the Black Powder is so fine, that it slips in between the brass tube and its brass guide. When this happens, the black powder builds up enough to where the spring no longer pushes the tube against the seal. Thus, the brass tube does not go all the way back down like it is supposed to, exposing the other end as a free flowing exit to the primer powder. Depending upon how much Gun powder has accumulated between the brass, This can empty your entire primer pan powder flask without you even knowing it. More than once I have lost the entire contents of the primer flask. I have two of these, and both are virtually useless I am continually having to take apart the "business" end of the flask to clean out Gun Powder and free the tube to seal again. I am searching for another kind of pan flask.
