This follower came as ...

This follower came as part of a Choate Magazine extension kit. It looked good, and worked OK for a while. After some extended storage, I pulled out my shotgun and the follower would not move in the magazine tube. When I got it out, it appeared to have solvent welded itself into the tube. Yuck. Couldn't reccomend this, period.

This follower came with ...

This follower came with the Choate 3 shot 870 magazine extension I bought. It worked great for the first 150 rounds. Then I noticed it didn't feed as smoothly as it did when it was new. I used it in a 3 gun competition and it failed during a match. The follower stuck on the last round, only ejecting it halfway. After looking for a new Choate follower, I found the reviews here and noticed one said there was a seam in the extension tube that damaged the follower. I looked at mine and sure enough, there is a weld seam that is rough and it is what damaged my follower. I put a new Remington orange follower in and I'll see how it goes. I'm going to grind down the weld in the extension tube when I get time. Great idea, but poor execution by Choate. I don't think the follower is entirely to blame, but rather the extension tube. That said, the follower is a little on the soft side and should have been built of a tougher composite so as not to be damaged and fail.

I installed this item ...

I installed this item with a new Wolff magazine spring on a 100% reliable Remington 870. As soon as I loaded the gun the follower jammed inside the magazine tube. I switched back to the stock follower and no problems.

This came with a Choate ...

This came with a Choate magazine extension for a Remington 1100. The mag extension has a seam running down the inside of it, and it's gouged the follower, so now the follower doesn't follow very well. i.e. the follower doesn't slide freely through the magazine tube. I'm now shopping for an aluminum (or better, steel) follower.

Was an ok follower. Came with my Choate 2 round mag tube. I cut the stupid tail off and then it worked pretty good.
