Product Information

KNS Precision "cross hair" type front sights offer the shooter a front sight that covers less of the target at longer ranges. The 0.240" diameter CNC machined blackened brass housing offers a large, bright field of view. Hooded sights have 0.250" housing for greater protection of the cross hair under demanding conditions and better shielding from stray light.

An excellent little sight, very well made, very useful. My regular AR-15 front sight is so wide that it totally covers the target at 300 yards. The fine crosshair reticle on this front sight is easy to focus on, fast to acquire, yet doesn't obscure the target. The hood is well-made, and definitely large enough to protect the crosshairs. I'm very glad I bought this sight.

Firstly, this would not fit between the front posts on my detachable front sight; I had to grind down boths sides to make this fit. However, as the "hood" IS so wide, my standard A2 sight alignment tool wouldn't fit over the hood and into the notches on the base, so HOW are you supposed to adjust the height on this(easily & accurately?) Have heard tales of people taking this out to the range, and one or BOTH of the thin beryllium wire would be gone after just a few shots fired...can't imagine how this would hold up over time, and I bought it for my 7.62 x51 NATO AR weapon! A great concept, but a complete waste of money in reality!

We have a rock river CAR 15 .223 great rifle but the front post makes it hard to see at 200 yards! We ordered your KNS sight hooded crosshair post and its great. Like looking in a scope and it only takes a few mins to put in. It will make any rifle hit better at any yards !!!! Thanks midway ty in VA.

The first problem was that there was a burr on the base flange that had to be filed for it to seat into the sight base. (There goes the black finish.) While in use, the cross hairs are difficult to see. Then on the 3rd time out, the vertical cross hair went missing. Very disappointing, and just a waste of money.

Simply the best for 100+ yard open sight shooting. I've read in some forums of some folks complaining about the crosshairs blurring when trying to focus, which I could see happening on shorter barrels, like with a carbine length front sight mount. But installed on my 20" stainless Rock River, I took it out yesterday for the first time and easily shot 5" groups at 200 yards - and am sure will do better next time!

I was excited to try this sight and it was very accurate after I got it sighted in. Everyone who tried it, loved it. Unfortunately, when I picked up my rifle today the vertical cross hair was gone. I've only had this sight for one month and the rifle stays in a padded case, it saw no abuse. Sadly, this sight gets one star from me.

This was very easy to install, and very easy to use. It improved my accuracy with iron sights many times. Does not block the target like the standard post would. I recommend anyone who uses an AR-15 or similar to use this product!
