The FNAR magazines are built solid. They are pricey and you can't take them apart for cleaning or maintenance but I have never had a problem with them.

Bought two of these high priced mags for my newly purchased Winchester SXAR . Haven't fired with them yet but they fit perfectly and cycle the .308 snap caps manualy exactly as they do with the factory 10 round supplied.

While I must confess these things are built like tanks, they are anything but perfect. First, I'd comment about how hard they've been to get a hold of until recently, & I suspect the supply could rapidly dry up once again. Secondly, I'd also note that the price is exorbitant, for the product. While you could argue that quality costs more, I'd note that AK-47 magazines are built equally tough, & you don't see them going for $70 or more, each!!Finally, you can't tear them apart to clean them... In fact, you're just supposed to spray some aerosolized cleaner up into them, & then call them clean!!! I don't know how it the world this could be considered even remotely adequate if they should fall in something like sand, or dirt & mud, but considering their cost, I'd have thought them better engineered such that they could be adequately cleaned if they are fouled with such debris!So while I thing theyre well built, the price is exorbitant, theyre proprietary from FN only, & subject to FNs production commitments, & quite honestly, purely from and engineering standpoint, I think theyre poor! What I find particularly troublesome is that the template for good magazines already clearly exists All you have to do is look at an AK mag, FN FAL mag, or G3 mag, & you can clearly see what makes a great magazine. For some reason, somebody tried to do an end run around these proven platforms, & failed, quite miserably, I believe!!

The magazine functions flawlessly. The only reason I gave it a four stars instead of five is that it rattles around in the magazine well, unlike the stock magazine.

The high quality youd expect from FNH. But the price-OUCH! I have 5, but I'll wait and hope Tapco or MagPul clones one before I buy any more.

Exact same mags as came with the rifle. Have 2 that I have used with +-300 rounds each of Win., MagTech, Wolf and reloads with zero malfunctions. Just ordered 2 more.
