Just got these for a Springfield 1911. I am completely satisfied with them, which is rare for me. They went on in 5 minutes with a screwdriver, and fit perfectly. The grip feel is now far better than the original plastic grips. I can already feel that it is much easier to hold the 1911 steady on a target. I also really like the feel of the rubber with its molded in checkering; very grippy but not sharp. I would buy them again if I ever buy another 1911.

This grip comes precut ...

This grip comes precut for an ambi safety. The grippability is typical Pachmayr--tacky rubber and gives you lots of control.My complaint--the rt. grip did not fit properly on my SA pistol. Needed a Dremel to slightly open up the holes for the grip screw bushings. I have owned 3 of these 1911 Pachmayr grips and this is the first time I've had to do this. Quite annoying but the final result is nice.

I have had a set of these grips on my Colt 1911A1 for thirty years and are now to the point of needing replacement as the checkering has worn smooth. I have carred this gun daily as a police officer and now as retired it still serves me well. Can't think of a bad thing to say, other than I have to replace them 30 years later.

I have used these on several of my .45's for over 20 years, including my competition Springfield. Very comfortable, snug fit, and non slip material. I've tried others, I'll stick with these!

Received my Pachmayr grips today! Installed easily, and were notched for the ambi safety! However, the notch is almost unnoticeable, enough so, if your 1911 doesnt have the ambi safety, you will likely not notice it at all. I havent been able to shoot with the new grips yet, but fit and finish meet and exceed my expectations, they feel great, and I dont have large hands. Very comfortable!

Bought this grip for my 1911 Colt series 70. The grip itself is fantastic and much better than the factory wood side grips. However, mine began to tear around the trigger guard after the 2nd range trip (within 15 days of installation). Probably just a material defect. Waiting to hear back for my warranty exchange.

Do yourself a favor and get a pair of these and avoid all the other "wrap around grip" wanna-be brands. Pachmayr makes the best grips around if you want comfortable grips that fit right and really grip! Tip; If they get dirty and dull, scrub them with a tooth brush in warm water with dish soap, they will look brand new again.

I've used a lot of different grips on various 1911's, mostly the newer G10 composites and Micarta. Recently purchased a Springfield "MC" Operator that came from the factory with these grips. Firm grip, non slip textured surface and fills the gap if your 1911 does not have front strap checkering. They're not the most pretty grips compared to others but shooting my 1911 is not about how pretty it looks, especially if the grips don't hold up to repeated fire. These grips are solid !!!!!

This is a great product to add to any 1911 style pistol that does not have checkering on the frontstrap. I recently added these grips to an officer's size 1911 and was amazed at the difference it made. Highly recommended.
