I have used these for six years in cowboy lever action silhouette matches and have purchased over 2000 of them. They work great in my Marlin 336 38-55 with SR4759. They measure exactly .380 on my micrometers and work great in my .380 groove diameter gun with absolutely no leading.

Shoot like lasers in my Marlin 336 with IMR 4198. Have not checked velocity. Very minimal leading. Comfortable and extremely accurate load, easily shattering very small rocks at 100 yards through a Williams target peep sight. Really great bullets. I have to force myself to stop shooting to cool the barrel.

The .380 diameter 38-55 bullet is well finished and performed well in the Marlin 336 when held to velocities below 1200 fps. Some stripping of lead was experienced above these velocities and accuracy dropped. Overall the bullet performs very well.

.380 bullets were actually .3755 and shot poorly with RX7,3031,4198 powders at any load or speed. 5-6 inches at 100. Way too hard to "Fill the bore" on firing. In Two different Marlins. Most Marlins, like mine, are actually .381
