Product Information

Although this style stock can be used for any purpose, it was specifically designed for use in the Team Challenge Competition. It features structural urethane, graphite and fiberglass construction. Bell and Carlson stocks are resistant to moisture, temperature and recoil energy, thus inherently increasing accuracy. Stock has a comfortable palm swell and a wide, flat-bottomed forend with a barrel channel designed for use with .920" diameter barrels. Please note that this stock was designed to be used with a scoped rifle and that it does not fit the Ruger 10/22 Magnum. Textured black. All Bell and Carlson stocks are covered by a limited lifetime warranty.

Very nice! First bench type stock for me and does it ever make a difference over a "stock" stock! I always use a scope and didn't realize the difference a cheek piece would make! Your square behind the scope without "crane necking" to get a view. You will instantly feel more in command of the rifle, your square behind the scope and have a square pull on the trigger, much easier to hold on target. Its just hard to describe the improvement but its a 100% improvement if your target shooting. The 5 shots groups was from 3/4 to 1 inch groups and instantly went to 1/2" and smaller groups @ 40 yards with this stock! I went back and shot some Eley Ammo that was all over the place before and now it was grouping 1/2" and better. It was a drop in install no bedding on my part! Probably the free floating barrel made the big difference in accuracy, Im not sure but now I have to order 1 more for my other 10 22! If your going to carry this stock as a hunter it is a little uncomfortable to carry because there is no rounded part on the stock to grip for carry. I'm adding a strap, this minor inconvenience is well worth tolerating if you want accuracy for hunting!!

I purchased a Ruger 10/22T (target 22 w/ .920 blue heavy barrel) that came with a OD Hogue rubber stock. The reason I am replacing the Hogue stock is the forearm and butt stock is too narrow, meant for carrying/hunting not bench rest shooting. What I like about the Bell and Carlson stock is that the forearm is wide and the grip position allows your trigger finger to fit perfectly on the Ruger trigger. Now is why I give this stock 3 stars. The other customer stated about the company's packaging: stock came in a plastic bag placed in a large cardboard box with instructions to bounce around during shipping. The take down screw hole was not clean. Quality control should have seen the big aluminum burr that interfered with the placement of the trigger assembly. I had to debur the hole within the stock. The stock is made for a bull barrel and is suppose to let the large O.D.(outside diameter) barrel float freely, but the sides of the forearm are touching the barrel in a couple spots ( try the paper/dollar test by sliding from top of barrel to receiver ). The magazine well compartment is not letting the 10/22 mag came out smoothly. It appears the left side is rubbing the Ruger mag. The Ruger receiver is sitting 1/8 of an inch high on the stock where the back taper does not blend in evenly. The receiver sat perfectly on the Hogue rubber stock. With all of these issues, the price is misrepresenting the product. For 170 dollars, a customer should not have to do extra work to make his/her 10/22 fit/work correctly. Please don't let my review create a bad image for this Bell and Carlson stock; it is a good stock. My friend bought a Christie stock for his Tactical Solutions 10/22 and had to do a lot more work. I know his receiver is a lot different than the Ruger 10/22, so he had to modify the Christie stock. Maybe my target 10/22 is slightly different from the standard 10/22. I hope helps.

Had to use customer service d/t crack in stock and they proved to be excellent. Stock repaired within two weeks and shipped back to my front door. Can't even tell where crack was - looks new again.

Very light sturdy stock.The stock has a nice palm swell and the cheek rest is just right. It had a little leftover residue from drilling the receiver screw hole so I cleaned that out, and then when I installed my stock mag it released fine 99% of the time, I took a few light passes with some sandpaper and knocked down the texture inside the magwell and it comes out every time now, even if it's at a weird angle.

Great stock; I own other bench type stocks for higher caliber rifles, this is the first for a 22 caliber and it makes my Ruger 10/22 look like a Les Baer custom. All of my components fit perfectly without any modifications. I highly Recommend this stock if bench shooting your 22 Ruger is in your future.

What a cool stock! Very well made and super light. Formed recesses for the receiver and barrel are just right. Everything dropped in perfectly. It is true that the retaining screw could be a shade longer. B&C should think about sending one with the stock. I used my factory one with success but am hunting for a longer one with just a little more bite. I used a Butler Creek fluted barrel and man...it is nose heavy. I also mounted a sling stud up front for my Harris bipods. There's plenty of material for drilling and installing stuff. Can't wait to take this mini tactical sniper out for a spin.

I have tried several stocks for the Ruger 10 22, and let me tell you all.This stock has to be the best one by far.The way it's made, the feel offhand, prone or on the bench you just can't beat it. It also has worked just fine with the Ruger`s stock takedown screw, and does come with a threaded steel hole for the takedown screw, I have no idea what some are saying on this. The hole is threaded and painted black, that`s where they think there is no threaded bolt hole in the stock, but there is. I have tried the McMillian stocks and HS stocks and they for the money, are overpriced.The Bell and Carlson stock are truly top shelf and field craft ready.The feel behind the stock makes you feel right at home, and in command. You just can`t go wrong with this stock. Thanks Midway and keep up the great work, and thanks for having great products like these.

I installed this along with a Volquartsen THM Tension CF barrel on my 10/22. The stock fits perfectly & works with the standard 10/22 take down screw. You don't need a brass bushing as the stock has an aluminum one built into it. It's just covered with the black coating from the manufacturing process. Also, bedding is unnecessary. The finish is top notch, it's super light & the cheek piece is perfect for a scope with med rings. I'm very impressed.

I searched long and hard for the perfect stock to build a fully custom 10/22 and purchased this one based on reviews here and my own preference for a high comb and pistol grip style (vs thumbhole). Though not adjustable it is very comfortable to shoot at the bench with a rest, and though not the most comfortable to carry on hunts I prefer it simply due to the natural fit and comfort when shooting. If you prefer iron sights you may want to consider another stock, as the high comb is definitely designed for a scope.It was an easy drop in installation with no need for further modifications...receiver and barrel dropped right in and there was no contact between the barrel and the stock (free floating barrel). Accuracy with a stainless butler creek fluted bull barrel has been exceptional, using bulk federal champion target ammunition...always achieving sub MOA accuracy at 50 yards.

These stocks are great, I have mine set up with a carbon fiber barrel and 4x scope, this makes for an extremely light weight and accurate little rifle that you can carry for days and not even notice its there. My action dropped in perfectly with out needing any additional work.
