First I just gotta say that not having to hand set a bullet on the case is too cool. But be very careful that you don't get so confident that you don't watch for powder in each case or forget to keep an eye on your primers cause you can crank 100 rounds out before you know it. If you have a Loadmaster Press I would highly recommend that you install the factory crimp die in position 5 so that you can back the Bullet seat die out so that it leaves room for the bullet feeder fingers to clear the sell plate and die when the ram is in the up position so that if no case is present you don't have to worry about the fingers being damaged. Otherwise I would un-hook the activation rod till I had a case in position for a bullet. I also found that a lightweight pull spring hooked from the bullet feeder body to the first grease fitting helps keep the bullet feeder body from raising until the feeder fingers are fully extended. That cheap little spring made all the difference in bullet feeding reliability for my press. I tested that idea first with a rubber band then went to the hardware store and found a spring that would fit my need.I have also noticed that keeping the tube fairly full helps keep the bullets in proper position for feeding. Just FWI, I am loading 200 gr. and 240 gr .45 lead SWC bullets and yes I had to modify the feeder body to accommodate the 240 gr. bullets because they were too tall to clear the .68" opening but it was nothing that a minute with my Dremel couldn't fix. All in all I have to say it's another great value press accessory from Lee.

I bought the bullet feeder back when I first setup my Lee Pro 1000. Never had much need for it, but finally set it up with high hopes it would speed production. The fingers did not extend fully under the die before being raised up so they went part way out and then stuck against the side of the die or were just misaligned so the fingers could get mashed. I loaded bullets in the tube and watched the fingers smacking the bullet loose against the outside of the die. My e-mail to Lee Precision to ask about this problem and what to do has yet to get a response. It has been several days. Maybe they don't have any thing to say, or they just want to ignore a customer's problem? I decided to fix it myself -- nothing to lose. I drilled a hole in the side of the feed body and threaded a nylon screw to create friction against bullet feed die and help the fingers extend under the die before they are lifted up. It works but Lee quality is not very consistent. Lee is cheap and a bargain if/when it works.

45 ACP bullet feeder

This this takes only a few minutes to get dialed in and then it's time to reload. The only thing I would change about it, is buying the additional feed tube kit so it holds 4x the bullets for more reloading. Awesome product!!

I have just purchased this and have been very disappointed. It does not position the bullet properly over the case causing the plating to scrunch or the brass to get destroyed. Tried ever adjustment possible. Got one good out of 100. I get better results by hand.

I see by the reviews that some people are lucky and get it to work, I wasn't lucky, I'm still trying to get the powder to dump accurately, you need to watch every case, static is holding up the powder, the feed fingers break easily, I just ordered 5 more, the top of a 230 gr bullet bumps the bottom of the seating die, I am not thrilled with the inability to be able to adjust anything on this feeder, I have tried washers under the round nut that feed the bullets through, it helps but not good enough. So far this is more trouble than its worth.

Have tried multiple times to use on my Pro-1000. I am selling the thing first chance I get. Lee is inexpensive, and most of their stuff works, but this is just too cheep. Spent over 2 hours trying to set this up today, cut the plastic fingers off when no bullet fed, tore the mounting screw out of the adapter on the shell carrier and had to get a machine screw, wouldn't reliably feed bullets measured shorter than the length specified, it is junk. Cannot recommend you try this one.

The ONLY reason this gets four instead of five stars is that unless there is a case and/or bullet at that station, the feed fingers do not spread adequately, and they may be marred/damaged by the die! the first few pulls, before a shell gets to that station, I carefully manually spread the fingers to allow them to slide over the tapered die edge. Otherwise it works perfectly.

This bullet feeder was a waste of money. It failed to align the bullets with the shells properly. The screw that mounts the adapter to the shell plate stripped out and had to be replaced. I didn't have any better luck with the rest of my Pro 1000 press either. I'm going back to my old reliable single stage RCBS.
