Nosler Ballistic Tip Hunting bullets have been trusted by hunters for nearly 25 years. They are precision made and individually inspected for the utmost quality which translates to incredible accuracy with every shot. The heavy jacket base prevents bullet deformation during firing and holds together at extreme velocities as well as a polycarbonate tip that resists deformation in the magazine and initiates expansion upon impact. The bullet's mid-section keeps it together at any velocity until impact, and a uniform, pure lead core eliminates possible imbalance and erratic flight caused by air pockets. Great for thin-skinned game like deer, antelope and sheep. This is not loaded ammunition.

Devastating on game

took a cull doe at 130 yards with my 8mm mauser. entrance was the size of a dime, after breaking the leg and severing the arteries to the heart, it completely destroyed the off shoulder (exit was 3"). these bullets are very accurate in my guns (which is good) but I will switch to Partitions or Accubonds for game.

I consistently get 3/4" ...

I consistently get 3/4" 3-shot 100 yard groups with this bullet in my scoped, sporterized K98. I used the 8mm Ballistic tip to take a smallish 3-point whitetail last month. The range was approximately 150 yards, and the first shot was not ideal (the deer was moving and I didn't lead enough). The bullet angled just behind the ribs on the right side through the diaphragm and the top of the stomach and did not exit (bullet was not recovered). A follow-up shot produced the blood trail that allowed me to track the deer and finish him off. I really like the fact that these bullets are so accurate, but I feel if the shot is not ideal they lack the toughness needed for a through-and-through hole that will leave an easy-to-follow blood trail. I've had a similar experience with the .30 150-grain in 30-06, with the deer hit through both lungs but little-or-no blood trail because only the bullet base exited. I would recommend them for situations where bullets can be placed through the lungs on deer that are not moving; I personally am going to try something a bit tougher.

I shot these @ 200 yards the other day, 5 shots in 3" with 3 into 1-1/4" and 2 touchingout of my M24/47 Yugo mauser with a 6x Pentax Gameseeker , a Timney trigger and a Boyds Ria walnut stock. This 60 year old mauser shoots great with Nosler 180 grain Ballistic Tips and Speer 200 grain Hot Core spitzers. I think this is because they closely resemble the original military loading @ 2400-2500 fps.

I have a BRNO, VZ 24 Mauser. I really love the Nosler BT in all my rifles. But in my 8x57 Mauser I am now getting sub 1" groups. I use Remington brass, CCI primers, Varget, and I seat the 180 gr. BT to 3.22"coal. It really started tightening the groups when I seated the bullet more. I usually try for the max coal, but that did not work for me with my Mauser.

Like the other Mauser owners, I'm grouping 1" to 1+1/2" @ 100yds with a M24/47 Yugo with a 60 year old barrel. That's awesome!! To be fair I couldn't group like that with open sights (3" to 4"). I'm using a 6x Pentax Gameseeker. That's it. Buy these bullets!

Shot 228 lb mule buck at ...

Shot 228 lb mule buck at 300 yards; first shot ripped open its liver and second one shattered its hind leg. Had to run up the hill to meet the buck and finish it with a broadside shot via .325 WSM load. violent bullet expansion ; the big buck just wound not die; glad I used this 8mm in a magnum cartridge.

Used this bullet in my 1923 8mm Mauser sniper rifle. Amazed at the performance! Put 4 rounds in 1/2" at 100 yards. I would suggest these for anyone that needs a great bullet for their 8mm round.

I love this bullet! In my GEW 98 I get 1/2" 5 shot groups consistently at 100 out to 600 yards with the factory fixed sites. Have yet to get to use it on deer here but the damage this round does to my target cans and plastic bottles tells me it might be a bit over kill! It sure fires sweetly!

This bullet works outstanding in my m98 rework to a8mm06. I run bullet at about 2775 fps. And it shoots well from 100 to 400 yds it is awesome on elk and a little much for deer. good job Nosler for a great bullet.

In one word EXCELLENT! In a 3 shot group I receive under 1" groups from my K98 German Mauser at 100 yards. I push this bullet with IMR 4350. I took too large does with it this year so far. (The large buck still has evaded me) Both does were shot broad side at about 50 yards. Clean entry holes in the chest cavity just behind the shoulder but the exit holes were about 2" in diameter. Destroying the heart and lungs with massive blood lose. One dear lunged forward and dropped dead. The other fell dead in her tracks.
