This is an excellent ...

This is an excellent handgun bullet. Although they're advertised as having a diameter of .429", they actually measure .4295" and are so marked on the box. While this is a small difference, it is worth mentioning. I shoot these in my 5 1/2" Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 magnum and they perform very well. I load them with 21.0 grs of Win 296 and they chronograph at 1,166 fps. Expansion is good. They penetrate very deep and hold together. Accuracy is superb. Recoil is more pushy than snappy, so they're quite comfortable to shoot.

I have used these in my 444 Marlin rifle. The cannelure is in the wrong place for the 444. What I did was set them to 2.570" and crimped them anyway. With H335 they shot phenomenally well. I never got a chance to try them on game.

I load them for my 44 mag Winchester Trapper. I get 3 inch groups at 100 yards with peep sights. Havent taken an animal yet, but did shoot through a piece of hardwood on the woodpile 7-8 inches thick. Seems like they'll offer a lot of penetration. They cycle fine in my rifle, and load them on top of H110. Im very happy with them, and plan on stocking up.

With 22.5 grains of IMR 4227 and a CCI 350 in Remington Nickel .44 Mag Brass (a load right out of the Sierra Maual), a cylinder full of these bullets will go into an inch at 30 yards from my 629 classic with Holosight. Crimp your bullets heavy. Can't wait to punch some big game with these bad boys.

These were clearly labeled on the box "for handguns only".They would not cycle through my Marlin .444 action as they were too long. They look like a fine pistol bullet though. If I ever get a .44 pistol I will find out.

I used this bullet while hunting Russian Boar. 1 shot stop and super penetration on such a tough animal. Accuracy during sight in was excellent.

This bullet over top of 21.5 grains of 296 is outstanding. Used this on 200+ boar at approximately 40 yards thru both shoulders. The bullet kept going, the Boar didn't.

Used it on muzzle loader elk this fall. One clean shot kill at 80 yards. Completely penetrated large bull elk through shoulders and spine. Load used was 150 grain Pyrodex with sabot in CVA Staghorn. This load gave 3" group at 100 yards without scope in cold weather. But must clean barrel between shots. I am impressed.

I've used the 300 jsp sierra bullet in my .444 marlin. I trimmed the cases .050 so that they would chamber from the magazine. I shot through two gallon water jugs at 100 yds. mushroomed well and held together very well after being taken from the dirt. I also trim .050 for the .44mag marlin rifle.
