So far seems like a nice upgrade to the classic Rock Chucker design. Glad to see it is still compatible with the Hornady Lock N Load bushing, although you WILL have to readjust your dies (upward) if you previously used a classic Rock Chucker. It mounted using the same bolts & holes on my Midway Portable bench, that's nice.Disappointment -- RCBS still just doesn't get depriming. Primer catcher is still too small and too many primers don't go into it. Definite drawback for us "living room" users of the Midway Portable bench. What I really want is a nice strong press like this, Lock N Load bushing and Midway Portable Reloading bench compatible, with positive spent primer control. I'd want to borrow a feature from the Forster Co-ax or Redding Ultramag, where the primers run down through the ram and into a collection bottle.

Sold my old reliable RCBS JR. press that I bought in 1974 and bought the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme because I had a gift certificate I needed to use. What a mistake! The primer catcher on this thing is the biggest joke I've ever seen in the history of reloading equipment. About 20% of the primers miss the primer catcher altogether, but it doesn't matter because by the time you PRY the cheap two piece plastic catcher off of the press the back of the catcher has already popped off and you've dropped almost all the primers on the floor anyway. If you buy the press make sure you have a good broom and dustpan. I'm going to return this press and buy some other brand with a primer catcher that actually works.

I had been reloading for about 20 years with the old traditional RCBS press...until I recently started into long range shooting with a 300 RUM. That's why I had to buy the Supreme. I can truthfully say that for the years I have been using the RCBS presses I have NEVER had any problems...as long as I operated them according to the instructions!!!

You can't go wrong with this press. It is solid, built to last and works perfect right out f the box. Why waste time trying to make a cheapo press work right when you can pay just a little more for this one that works perfect without hassle and will outlast you?

Best single stage press on the market, bar none! I have reloaded for 30 plus years. This was my first press and it still functions flawlessly. Even though I also have three progressive presses on my bench, I still use this press all the time.

My first single stage ...

My first single stage press, and my last from RCBS. After loading about 200 rounds of .308, the handle stripped the threads out of the cam block (sounds like a common problem from the other reviews). Being a machinist, I installed a helicoil, and re-threaded the handle. After struggling to get consistent accuracy with several calibers, I noticed that the brass was tipping as it went into the die, I discovered that the center of the ram was not centered with the die, it was off by .06 (almost a sixteenth of an inch)!!!!!!! Chinese junk!!! I will follow the advice of others here and go with Redding.

Had a Redding Boss for ...

Had a Redding Boss for years that was an awesome unit, wish I still had it. NO slop in the ram, or linkages. The RCBS is just OK, not the quality that the Redding was/is, in my opinion. Seems rugged enough, but the tolerances are not as tight as the Redding. If you want to spend about the same money, get the Redding. I'm saving up now for a Forster Co-Ax. The Co-Ax is the best of the best, when it comes to single stage presses. You get what you pay for.

I have used this for pistol and 7mm rem. mag, rifle with no problems. The spent primer tray could use some improvement it misses some of the spent primers and you can't remove the tray with primers in it without soiling them, but most people have a shop vac and that solves that problem. I still have to give it 5 stars, for quality

I used RCBS products for many years, and have to say that their quality isn't what it used to be. A Rock Chucker from 25 years ago is made a lot better than a new one. When you say somethings made in USA it should actually be!!! I am done buying RCBS after getting no help from them on two occasions. Redding products have and will continue to replace them.

Great heavy duty press, I purchased the kit after talking to a few buddies that reload and use RC presses, I almost brought a cheaper brand but am glad I didn't, this one will be passed down to my sons. As far spent primers falling out to the floor I've only had maybe 1 to 2 out of every 100 sized fall out and I'm pretty sure it had more to do with the user getting in a hurry when decapping, so go slow and smooth and it shouldn't be an issue.

Bought my new Rock ...

Bought my new Rock Chucker 1V Supreme last week, and noticed that there was a problem, after I mounted it on the bench. My shell holders, even the RCBS ones, would not fit in the top of the ram! I removed the ram from the press, and with needle files, removed burrs, and beveled the opening of the slot {This is after I took out the spring}. I then tapped different brand shell holders in and out of the slot to remove any burrs that I couldn`t see; then I put the spring back. --- Result-- Now the shell holders go in and out as they should, and I have a working press. I tried using the priming arm that came with the press, and found it to be awkward and slow. I now use a lee priming devise that screws into the press at the top-- much better! Now it is a great single stage press, but why didn`t or doesn`t RCBS check it- them before they leave the factory?
