The Aimpoint PRO (Patrol Rifle Optic) was designed with the input of current and former professionals to create the most dynamic Red Dot sight available. Featuring band-pass lens coating, the PRO is compatible with every generation of night vision devices and provides a crystal clear 1x image for quick target acquisition in close quarter situations. The modular QRP2 mount securely attaches to standard picatinny rails and includes a removable spacer that provides optimal height for co-witness with iron sights on carbine style weapons. Additionally, the QRP2 incorporates a torque limiting knob to completely eliminate over tightening. You won't need to worry about turning the battery on and off with the PRO. The 3-year battery life allows you to turn the unit on out of the box and leave it on for an always ready sight. Other features include a see through ocular lens cap and standard objective flip-up lens cap that are both recessed to prevent impact damage, a rugged 30mm tube, threaded objective bell for use of ARD (Anti-Reflective Device), 4 Night vision settings and 6 daylight settings, battery and adjustment cap retainers to prevent them from being lost in the field, and a ten year pesronal use warranty.

It's okay.. But not great at it's price.

The seems well built and of good quality. I don't care for the odd ball size battery though. Also on higher brightness settings the dot develops a shadow dot (second less bright dot) if you don't look perfectly straight through the glass. I think some of the light is reflecting off of the glass within the optic resulting in the appearance of a second dim dot in the sight picture. It appears on higher brightness settings - really the last 2 clicks is when it is most noticeable. But this is a problem for me. I co witness it on my AR-15 and it's a bottom 1/3rd. Meaning when using it this way you're not looking perfectly through the center and the second dim dot appears. On the higher brightness setting it is sufficiently bright to obstruct your sight picture. That is pretty poor in my opinion...I've seen lower quality red dots do this, but I expected more from an aimpoint. As a baseline my EoTech 556 has no such issue.

I ordered this aimpoint on Sunday, it arrived at my house on Wednesday. Great service. I used aimpoints my whole time in the military. Didn't care for the Eotech, just preference. The Price is a little high, but I know from experience that aimpoint will hold up to whatever you throw at it. Great job, Aimpoint, and Midway for the service!

Great Optic, Great Price

This is actually the 4th one of this model I own, I also own the CompML3. all of them run great and have never been off once sighted in. The pro Series optic is a great budget optic while still getting the same great AimPoint quality. I have had mine mounted on my 6.8 SPC tactical carbine for over 2000 rounds and it has yet to let me down. Even after dropping it, Leaving the light on for a week and the heavy use of a tactical carbine course. it has never let me down. Buy with confidence.

Works great on my AK

Bought this with the Midwest Industries picatany scope mount rail for the AK-47 that mounts onto the Side of the gun . Ive put 200 rds of 124gr HP down range and the scope holds zero. At 75 yards, I can annihilate paper plates. I like it. Red dot works great at various settings based on daylight. I have terrible eye vision and the AK-47 sights strained my eyes. The Aimpoint Pro allows me to see the red dot and make accurate shots!

Excellent Red Dot Sight for the Price

In the range of $400 to $600, there are only a few sights that line up as "professional" quality. Aimpoint, Eotech and Leupold. I've owned all three. I have to say the Aimpoint has quickly become my favorite. 1/3 co-witness. "Set it and forget it" battery performance. Underwater submersion capability. It's a great sight for law enforcement, personal defense and other duty applications. The ratchet mount is a real plus.

Fast shiping , the best quality . i am going to use this at the range for close range and for home defence. love the flip up caps ands has great battery life. the only negative thing that i have found was on the pop up lens covers the clear side when i first poped it up got an ugly scratch on it due to it hiting the addjustment cover, because of that when i use the aimpoint i have to have the clear cap open just to see the red dot. front cap allso has a small gash on it like if it was poked by something ? other than that i love the sight. maybe mid way will send me some replacement lense covers.

Just got the aimpoint pro today it was carefully packaged with air bags can't wait to try this thing out at the local range this weekend . The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is that the front lens cover has a gash in it like it might have been mishandled and when I popped open the clear lens it got a really bad scuff on it when it hit the top elevation cover . Now I can barley see the red dot with it shut . Other than that I would recommend it to anyone wanting a quality red dot sight .

The aimpoint pro is an awesome optic. Got this optic to replace my EOTech 552. I know a lot of guys like EOTech and EOTech is good, but Aimpoint is better. I was able to zero the aimpoint a lot quicker--especially with a 2 MOA dot vs. 4 MOA. When you turn on the Aimpoint red dot, it turns on and is visible immediately. My EOTech hesitated to come on at times and always took a little more time to sight the target than the aimpoint. For me, the Aimpoint pro had better eye relief--which is what you want out of a quality reflex sight. I like the mount and tightening knob on the Aimpoint better than the Eotech as well. Last but not least, the EOTech would cut out sometimes after decent recoil is experienced. I am not bashing Eotech but wanted to "true in-depth" critique since I have both. When I was trying to find out the differences in both, I could not find a good critique of the differences. I bought the Eotech first but still wanted better eye relief and quicker target acquisition. The aimpoint pro worked out better. In addition, the aimpoint pro comes with lens covers and has a longer battery life.

I purchased this optic for a Spikes Tactical 5.56 rig over a year ago. It has been running on the original battery included with the unit for over a year with no issues. Preforms flawlessly on the brightest of days outdoors and low or no light indoors (first 4 settings are for night vision as well). Ran this rig hard at tactical class and have put over 3000 rounds through it with no issues. The 2 MOA dot makes it easy to engage targets at 300+ yards. 3-5 year battery life is listed with the unit left on setting 7 at all times. It's actually S.O.P. to leave the unit turned on. Scope covers are included and you can shoot with them closed as long as you are using the B.A.C. If I were to give any advice on this product, it would be to loc-tite all ring screws prior to mounting (they will work lose over time if you don't... but that is with all AR rings). The mount does work as advertised and does return to zero time after time when used as directed. EXCELLENT PRODUCT... EXCELLENT PRICE!!!
