Product Information

Accurately and easily measure rimfire and centerfire firing pin protrusions to within 0.0001" with the Baker Firing Pin Extrusion Gage. To use, simply unlock the plunger and place the gage over an extended firing pin. Lock the plunger and then measure the overall length with a micrometer. The difference between the original length and the overall length on the body, plus the plunger, is the amount of protrusion from the firing pin. Great way to see if a firing pin spring is getting weaker over time.

Notes:
  • 0.90" plunger, hardened
  • Body is 1/2" diameter
  • Gage will measure rimfire and centerfire firing pin protrusion to within 0.0001"
  • For use, unlock plunger and place gage over firing pin (extended), lock plunger and then measure overall length with a micrometer. The difference between the original length and the overall length of the body plus the plunger is the amount of firing pin protrusion.
