Could not get the ...

Could not get the retaining pin back in with the new firing pin. The notch in the firing pin is not cut deep enough. Scarred retaining pin trying to get it back in. Don't know if I can find another retaining pin. Will have to file firing pin notch to get it to work.

I placed this firing pin ...

I placed this firing pin in my Beretta Minx .22 short. Without any modification to the pin, it would protrude from the breach face, unable to retract due to the notch not being cut long enough. The front of said notch would stop against the retaining pin, unable to retract enough to clear the breach. Some work with a file was required to remove enough material so that the firing pin spring could push the firing pin tip back below the breach face. It was not a difficult operation. I was just glad that I could get a pin on short notice and get the weapon back in operation without too much problem. Test firing the pistol shows that the operation was a success!
