The American Defense AD-RMR-CO Mini Quick-Release Trijicon RMR Mount is a mount designed specifically for co-witness with the Trijicon RMR sight. It is precision machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and finished in hard coat T3 Mil-Spec anodize. It features the patent pending Auto Lock Lever system to accommodate both in spec and out of spec rail systems. The Auto Lock Lever system has the following advantages:

Does not require proprietary tools for adjustment
Can be adjusted with your finger or a flat blade screwdriver
Lever can be configured to lock to the front or the rear
Superior clamping surface to insure maximum rail engagement

Like the AD ACOG mount, ...

Like the AD ACOG mount, this RMR mount is great. It locks up nice and tight, is lightweight, and easy to adjust (i.e., the "tightness") without using tools. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five: unlike the one shown in the photo, on the mount I received, the lever is on the right side...and can not be moved to the other side nor can the mount be mounted facing the other direction because of the way the RMR attaches to it. Maybe it's just me, but that seems rather ridiculous. I do not know a single AR owner that would rather have the lever on the same side of the rifle from which the cases are ejected. Sure, I guess a lefty, shooting a left-handed AR, might want it on that side - but I have yet to see such a rifle in person. So, I find AD's decision in this regard baffling. Other than that, it's a great mount.
