I bought this to go on my new 10/22 Take Down and the inside diameter where it slides on the end of the barrel was too tight, I had to use my dremel tool to sand and polish the inside so it would fit it took about 5 minutes and now has a nice tight snug fit. Now for the finish its a matt grayish and doesnt match the stainless on my Ruger. I used my dremel and a wire brush to polish it up and man it looks very nice now. For those looking at it, keep in mind you might have a few minutes of polish time to match it to your stainless on your rifle. And for you Take Down guys its going to need some sanding to get it put on. I would buy this again, after a few minutes of custom work its a great deal.

Would pay more for a item that would match my stainless barrel. Set screw in that material is like going into butter. Rattled loose after 50 rounds. 3 times..Returning it.

This product protects the crown of the muzzle nicely and was an excellent addition to my plinking gun. It does actually minimize the already negligible flash from a 22LR compared to without it. I put it on with loc-tite. I painted the outside of the muzzle and the inside of the flash hider as well as the threads of the set screw and I've had zero problems.

Cool little addition. Fit was alright, a little polish inside and it slipped right on. Set screw drives loose, easy - just don't force it! Loctite just in case. Polished the rings (before install) on mine with a Dynafile and scotch-brite belt, now it looks really bad-a** on an all-weather Ruger 10/22. WARNING! - Midway USA may be habit forming!

First off, it looks cool.As mentioned by someone else, the finish is dull and rough. It doesn't match my stainless steel barrel on my 1022.Haven't really noticed any difference in felt recoil or muzzle jump, but a 22 lr doesn't kick much anyway.It made a great addition to my tapco stock kit and gave it that tactical look I wanted.Only thing I didn't like is the set screw that holds the muzzle brake on the firearm. The Allen wrench supplied by the company did not fit the screw very well. None of the Allen wrenches I have would torque it down enough. It would slip off after a day at the range. Eventually the set screw stripped out. Fixed the problem with a little LocTite and jb weld, which permanently attaches this product to my rifle now.I gave it a 3 based on the finish and attachment problems I experienced. I still like it though.

I give it 2 stars because it looks sort of cool. It says Stainless steel but its far from matching the stainless steel the barrel is made of. My muzzle brake is a dull, rough grey.I noticed no difference in muzzle jump. It also says it pins in place. Mine has a tiny hex screw on bottom that tightens up against barrel. I bought it for looks anyway. Just wish it would at least match the barrel.

This thing is great, I dont care what other people say this works. There's still muzzle jump but the jump to the side from the bolt is gone. Installation took like 10 seconds, my only problem was I got the wrong instructions. I got how to install a mini 14 magazine, it was helpful but I dont own a mini 14 or a mini 30.

This flash hider is ...

This flash hider is actually solid stainless steel - not chrome or nickel plated carbon steel like some I've seen. The craftsmanship is very nice. I actually installed this on an older Ruger 77/22 with iron sights, and it fits almost perfect - there is about a 1/32" gap between the sight base (which is a 10/22 Hi-Viz sight) and the sides of the slot on the flash hider. This is not a problem because the set screw in the bottom of the flash hider allows the user to make a tight connection - it will not move at all. Recoil using this flash hider is so minimal that my crosshairs hardly move from the center of the target when I fire a shot. I give it four stars, but if they'd close up the gap - it would be a five.
