This is a study sight ...

This is a study sight adjustment tool, quickly moved my lightly frozen SKS sight with little effort. The instructions are clear and include hints on how to adjust a front sight for those who are spatially impaired. The reason I wouldn't rate it as a five-star product is because the elevation adjustment doesn't fit the wider Yugoslavian front sight post and needs slight filing to fit. Overall a handy tool, much needed for proper sighting of an AK or SKS.

Worked GREAT and without a hitch on my Yugo M70AB2. The instructions are easy to follow, and I didn't have any trouble whatsoever with the windage or the elevation adjustment. Straight out of the package this sturdy, well made tool provided all the sight adjusting my firearm needed. I would recommend this tool to any AK owner in need of a front sight adjustment tool. Well worth the money!

After wasting time and money of one of the cheap off-brand tools, I am very pleased with the Tapco version. It is built of tough steel, and well worth the extra cost. It has moved SKS sights that were really stuck, whereas the cheapo one stripped out and bent. Use with penetrating oil and patience.

I tried this on two AKs: a Chinese and a Bulgarian. It wouldn't budge either front sight, even after soaking the sights with oil. AK front sights are notoriously tough to drift, and the only way I know is a hammer and punch.

Worked for about two weeks, then I took it out on a chilly morning and it broke, taking my AK's front sight post with it. I'm giving it another chance since it did work for me earlier, but buyer be warned: Don't use it in the cold!

I bought this tool to remove my front sights on my Draco pistol AK and Romanian AK variant the Wasr 10. It worked perfectly to remove some stubborn sights both hooded and unhooded after I broke the tool supplied with the Hiviz fiber optic front sight posts. The Hiviz supplied tool works perfectly for the Hiviz sight but lacks the strength to remove the factory front sight post. I have also used this tool to adjust my windage on the front sight with no problems. It may be a bit stiff but nothing this tool can't handle. I would recommend this tool if you plan on doing any AK front sight work. It can take the abuse without breaking.

Well made with good instructions. Would give it 5 stars except that I had to grind on it a little to get it into proper alignment on my YUGO 59/66. I guess Tapco didn't figure on the grenade launcher sight encroaching on the rifle sight area. Only had to remove about 0.025" to get it to work though. Works great now. Would work great out of the box on an SKS without a grenade launcher sight.
