The bonding and thicker rear jacket aids in greater weight retention and deeper penetration. Norma's bonding process results in an inseparable core and jacket.

This is an excellent ...

This is an excellent bullet. It has a high sectional density that makes it much more efficient than its caliber would indicate. I hand loaded it at 2300 fps for my 1920 vintage military surplus rifle, and last year I shot a cow elk with one. The bullet went all the way through on a standing side shot at approximately 100 yards.

I load this bullet in 6.5mm-.284 Norma and get excellent results on red stag and elk.With Reloader 22 or Norma MRP I can get 2700 f.p.s. and with its high sectional density and moderate velocity it will plough through just about anything. I have taken elk both broadside and quartering out to 200 yards and had one shot kills and complete penetration; similarly with red stags in Patagonia. These are 500lb animals, smaller than bull elk but just as tough and have had the same results. A really outstanding game bullet and quite comfortable to shoot in a 8 1/2 lb rifle.
