Excellent cover

I have tried the less expensive scope covers and found they don't hold up to the wear and tear very long when carried in the mountains, or heavy brush.

I purchase only the front cover, as most of my travels are with the rifle slung over my shoulder, or butt down in a blind. These flip open with authority, and you can flip them 270 degrees to lay flat against the top of your scope.

I won't be looking anymore at the cheaper covers, these are on all of my scopes.

These are quality covers ...

These are quality covers and I believe in buying quality as I would rather buy once and live with it. I see some reviews saying that they don't tell you these come in separate covers, but I guess people just don't read the descriptions.If you paid premium for your dependable scope, would you really want to save few bucks on covers that really don't perform their function in protecting that gear?I have 2 other sets and just ordered these for an IER scout setup and I expect to get a long use out of them.

I only gave this a "good" review because Leupold neglects to tell you that you need a REAR Scope cover as well. Seriously, who orders just one scope cover? Perhaps if they put them together as a set, or in addition to one of their scopes I could see giving them a higher rating.

Water tight, Dust proof ...

Water tight, Dust proof and you just can't lose them. May take a little practice to open them in a hurry. Only real down side is their cost relative to other options, But it you lose one of the other types you break even. I guess you get what you pay for.
