A very solid base that ...

A very solid base that holds up well. Backed by a good group of people in Oregon, it matched my rifle perfectly in fit and color.The only thing you might want to watch out for is with the Savage 110 long action you may need an extended front base if you have a shorter scope. I ordered this set and when it arrived I noticed the front base is NOT an extended piece, and fell just short of working with my scope. I called Warne directly as I live just a few hours away and bought just an extended front base so that I can use my scope. Warne part #M905All in all a fantastic product and I was very impressed with the customer service from the company. I wish I had paid more attention in my ordering to know I needed an extended front base with my rifle.

The base finish matches the finish of my savage 10fp exactly, they are very solid, they don't have the flexibility of a picatinny but they stay on very well even after several clumsy drops.

I have used quite a few of the Warne rings but not the bases and decided to give them a try. We were switching from a 1" tube scope to a 30mm and using the medium quick detach rings. Savage 12BVSS with round reciever and the bases lined up perfectly. I also like having a steel base between the receiver and the steel scope rings and torx head screws instead of a slotted screw head. I be using Warne rings and bases again. Great products and great service from Midway!
