The Midwest Industries Gen 2 SS-Series Free Float Modular Handguard is a 1-Piece design constructed of 6061 Aluminum. It incorporates a Full Length Top Rail that mates tightly against a Flat-Top AR-15 Upper Receiver to form an uninterrupted mounting platform capable of accepting virtually any optical or iron sighting system desired by the user. With an outside diameter of only 1.5", the Gen 2 SS is one of the lightest and slimmest handguard options on the market, while also simultaneously boasting versatility equal to any of the heavier, bulkier full quad rail handguard designs. Each Gen 2 SS Handguard comes with Three 2.5" Modular Picatinny Rail Sections that may be mounted anywhere along its length for the addition of tactical accessories where needed, keeping the remainder of the tube's body smooth and slim for greater support-hand comfort. Comes complete with a proprietary steel barrel nut, bipod stud, barrel nut wrench, accessory rail mounting hardware and installation instructions.
