This sight is made from 4130 steel and heat treated to 45 RC. This is the perfect sight upgrade for AK-pattern rifles, replacing the coarse, factory-furnished U-notch rear sight with a modern aperture for faster, more precise sight alignment. Features a black oxide finish and is elevation adjustable using the original rear sight's elevation slide.

Sight installation on my Arsenal AK was simple. The sight ring makes it very easy to quickly get on target. I also found it easier to aim with both eyes open compared to the stock sight. If you are doing a lot of shooting with irons on an AK, this is a great option.

I had an issue with seeing the standard leaf rear sight on my Arsenal SGL-20. I bought this sight and swapped it out in about 5 minutes. What a difference! IMO one of the few necessary mods for any AK variant.

Bought two: one for my Saiga, and one for my SKS. Mounted quickly to the Saiga (once you learn the correct technique to remove the stock sight and install the new one--hint: use a screwdriver and small hammer). For the SKS, you need to acquire a sight elevation slide from an AK, the one from the SKS won't work. Should help with my old eyes.

Quick install - you just need a screwdriver, really. I popped it in and instantly saw a difference in acquiring a proper sight picture instead of wasting time trying to line up the tiny rear gap with the front sight post. The dark color blends in with the rest of the gun - the above picture makes it look silver. Don't worry, it's not. Worth every penny.

Of all the 20 + pages of AK-stuff you can purchase here...and i have bought MOST of it (most of it is in a box in my garage) THIS is the BEST 65 bucks you could possibly spend !! Vastly improved, easy to pick up sight picture... compared to the narrow little slot of the"stock"sight. Installs easily with supplied directions ( was NOT as difficult as some people claim) Midway shipping, as usual, is superb :-)

This is by far the best product I've purchased for my AK! construction feels very tough. Only took a few minutes to install it does require some force to remove to old leaf and install this one. After it was installed I went out and zeroed my rifle and had it zeroed in less than 30 minuets and only used something like 15-20 rounds which could have been less if I didn't over adjust my windage. I was amazed at my groups, my rifle has never held groups this tight before!I'll be buying another for my PSL, get one you won't be disappointed!
