I own many different 22 pistol's. I purchased 1 for my model 41, 1 for my colt woodsman which also works on my ruger 22/45 and 1 for my ruger mk 1. These loaders allow you to load a magazine in seconds not to mention removing the stress from the thumb from having to depress the magazine spring for loading. I purchased 3 more to keep in my truck for when I'm at the range. Get one you won't be disapointed.

This is one little gaget that works well. atleast for me anyway. I can see where MKI owners might have an issue as it is not knoched on the both sides. I own two of them incase I loose one. You know how good us gun guys are good at loosing small objects. I tell you I would not be without one. Be smart and buy atlest two. its a thumb saver and you want to keep your thumb fresh not sore to work the safety.

the cut out for the ...

the cut out for the magazine button is on the proper side for a Mark 2, but on the wrong side for a Mark 1, such that the product can not be used as designed and intended. They should have put cut outs on both sides .... but didn't.

Excellent tool. Worked perfect on my Ruger Mark 1 made in 1977. I used this on the Ruger Mark 1 mags purchased from MidwayUSA.

Works as advertised, but the fit is very tight, which makes it tricky to unclip after you're done loading the rounds. With the magazine button pressed down it doesn't take any time at all to drop 10 rounds in there, a clip isn't even needed.

works fine for the pistols specific to it, do not buy it if you own the Mark III, it doesn't fit those mags.

True thumb saver because you dont have to hold it down when loading the magazine. Very durable. I bought one for all the people I know that have Mark IIs.

Excellent product, my only recommendation is do not leave it as is! The fit to a standard Ruger mag is so tight it will likely will wear the finish, but a couple minutes with a flat file will have it operating butter smooth, and you'll both be reloading clips faster than ever before and wishing Ruger really would have included such a device with the gun. A great gizmo, makes shooting even more enjoyable.

Works great with Ruger mags. The hook doesn't release easily from the Mec-Gar mags. Bought two of these for use with the Ruger mags, just in case I loose one. Also use the 22/45 loader for those Ruger mags with excellent results. Bought two of those also.
