Started shooting these in ...

Started shooting these in a 6.5x47 lapua rifle that had been giving me fits with the heavier bullets. with 123 and 140's was around the half inch plus range. these with a good dose of IMR 8208 worst five round group was .281 ( ten different groups). Looks like I'll be stocking up on these soon.

These work surprisingly ...

These work surprisingly well out of my 6.5 Creedmoor (a Remington CDL with a Shilen SS barrel installed). Because the bullets are relatively short, and my rifle has a long throat to accommodate long 140gr bullets (as most 6.5 rifles have), I didn't know what to expect - but the accuracy was among the best of all the different bullets I've tried. If I move the bullet out to meet the lands and grooves, the bullet is almost out of the case, so by the time the bullet is seated correctly it has quite a jump before hitting the rifling - nonetheless, accuracy and consistency is pretty good using H414 or IMR 4320. Group sizes around 0.6 inches at 100yrds, measured center to center. These bullets may not work in your particular gun, but I think it's worth a try.

I really wish that I ...

I really wish that I could post a picture of the targets to illustrate how well this bullet shoots in my 6.5-06! As is true with all Sierra bullets, this one is extremely accurate and the terminal performance on woodchucks has to be seen to be believed.

I shoot this bullet a lot ...

I shoot this bullet a lot in my Magnum Research Lone Eagle chambered for .260 Remington. This bullet is capable of fine accuracy. I have achieved 100 yard 3-shot groups in the .400's. And this is with a very comfortable reduced velocity load using AA5744 which gives me 2300 fps out of the 14" barrel of this hand rifle.

Used these to make a ...

Used these to make a reduced load with 4895 for my wife in the Swede Mauser. She wanted something that felt like a .22 didn't quite get that but soft enough and surprisingly still accurtate enough to hit 4" size targets at 100 yds consistantly (she didn't shoot for groups just to hit the blocks of wood).

The bullet is being used ...

The bullet is being used by a nine year old to shoot gophers (Richardson's ground squirrels). He is using a Ruger Compact and the recoil, accuracy and terminal effects are excellent.

I use this bullet in my ...

I use this bullet in my M38 Swedish Mauser on prairie dogs. Using IMR 4895 powder, I have found it to work quite well. I took one dog at about 275 yards when only its nose was sticking out of the hole. I'll admit that it was as much luck as skill, but these bullets will work well in a rifle even if the bore is a bit rough. It did not suffer much. This is an excellent varmint bullet for these rifles! Excellent accuracy. The results will probably impress you.
