They should actually make ...

They should actually make these things out of Kevlar!!! If you are going to do any priming with just about any progressive press you better have a shield between you and the primers. Myself, since the loadmaster is not real good at priming and I hate wasting primers I use the LEE hand primer and do all my priming before I put them in the Loadmaster, all I have to worry about then is checking the powder.

It's a shame that such an item is needed, but Lee just doesn't get it. I had an explosion with only 6 primers in the tube. Lucky I survived. With 100 in there I would be dead, or blind at least. The Lee primer system is dangerous. I sold two presses and switched to a safer brand, a very good decision.

Definitely a must have if ...

Definitely a must have if using a LEE Press. Never had so many jammed primers and crushed primers loading with any Lee progressive presses. I had one primer go off during the seating process and luckily didnt mass detonate its 100 other brothers. Primers mass detonating is equivalent to an ounce of TNT. "Primer Blast Shield" would be a more apt name.
