This stuff is nothing like the Hoppes Benchrest formula. I bought this stuff thinking it was the same and boy was I in for a rude awakening. Useless, simply useless!

Simply does not remove ...

Simply does not remove the copper. I spent 3 hours one night trying to remove the copper fouling out of a .300 Win Mag with no luck. I bought a bottle of Butch's Bore Shine and had it cleaned up within in minutes. Hoppe's is junk. Buy either Butch's Bore Shine or Sweet's 7.62.

This is a great product ...

This is a great product for what it was designed to do, which is to slowly remove copper from a high quality barrel. I like it because I can coat the bore and leave it there without additional work. It takes a day or two to work and cleans up easily. If you have a heavy fouling or inferior quality barrel, or want to remove the fouling immediately then use a different product with higher ammonia content. I use Sweet's on my rough, heavy fouling rifle because it requires work, but I greatly prefer #9 Bench Rest for my custom barrels.

This stuff works! It is kind of slow, but it is the best thing i have tried to date for removing copper from your barrel. Heavily fouled barrels may require multiple applications to remove all copper fouling. one of my rifles required 10 / 12 hour soak sessions to remove all the copper in the barrel. but it was an extreeme case. and since then, all it has required was a normal cleaning, followed by one overnight soak to remove the rest of the copper. good stuff. I just wish it was faster.

Hoppe's #9 Bench Rest ...

Hoppe's #9 Bench Rest Copper Bore Cleaning Solvent really didnt give very good results. It did cut more copper that straight Hoppes, but it was pitifully slow and stinks. There are definitely are better products out there and life is too short to waste on an ineffective copper cleaner. The Hoppes Copper Terminator gave me much better results and was worth the price difference.

On a heavily fouled bore, ...

On a heavily fouled bore, this stuff simply doesn't do the job.I followed the directions to no avail, so I bought some Barnes CR 10 and presto! a clean bore and renewed accuracy.
