Great darts for the ...

Great darts for the reasons already listed by the first reviewer. Get the darts out of the plastic bag and cut the rubber bands binding them together immediately upon delivery. Lay them out in a thin and stress-free pile and see if they don't straighten out. If they remain bent after a couple of days, you might try steaming them over a pot of boiling water. I used a large screen to hold a several in the steam at a time. Let them dry out under no stress too.A similar operation works for the plastic shaft darts, but they can be simply dumped into hot water and then plucked from the pot rather quickly. I brought the water to a boil, shut offer the flame, and then dumped in a few plastic shaft darts at a time. They straighten out right away and will stay straight, if allowed to cool while straight.The tight packaging is the problem, but fortunately the shafts seem to recall their "memory" when heated and/or moistened.

The Cold Steel bamboo ...

The Cold Steel bamboo darts are literally skewers stuck into orange plastic cones. They fly very straight and are excellent for target practice - especially indoors where a metal dart could break a window. Each of my bamboo darts came slightly warped - some worse than others, but it doesn't seem to affect accuracy much. If a bamboo dart breaks or the tip gets ruined, you can replace the bamboo portion with your own skewer as long as you taper the blunt end ever so slightly prior to inserting it into the cone (otherwise the cone might crack). I gave these 4 stars instead of 5 only because every bamboo dart I've inspected has been slightly warped. Even so, I think this is a great product and I'll continue to use them regularly!
