These are nice grips and ...

These are nice grips and improve the appearance of my gun, however, as other reviewers have noted, they are Not the Rosewood grips pictured in the description. They are laminated grips. I had no trouble installing them, tho the fit is very tight. The front of the grips stick out slightly farther than the front of the frame of the gun, a Ruger Single Six. A strange feeling when holding the gun that may take some getting used to. They increase the thickness of the grip which I do like. The Ruger medallion is slightly crooked on the left grip. In spite of the few nit picks, they really are nice grips.

Had read some reviews where they indicated that some smithing might be required to properly fit. I found the grips to fit snugly without alteration and they look great on my Blackhawk convertible 45 LC/45ACP!

Exceptional value! These grips fit my original Vaquero perfectly - had them on in seconds. The grips that I received were the laminated variety, and came complete with the mounting screw. They look great and provide a standard "meaty" grip. For the money you can't find any other grip out there of this quality.

I bought these grips to replace the plastic grips that came on my New Model Blackhawk Model 10463. This is the 45colt/45acp. It has the internal lock. The frame is 1/2 inch wide and lets the flat sided grips clear. The grips fit like they should. Good color and thicker then the plastic ones. Adds to the look of the gun. Well pleased.

Very, very nice grips. They are laminated rosewood and are beautiful. Fits on newer models with the lock also. Guide pin hole was just a hair off. It's easy to fix: Lay the grip in place and it will hang up on the edge of the guide hole. Tap the grip gently with something soft (I used a screwdriver handle) - this leaves a little mark on the inside of the grip that shows you where to dremel. The hole only has to be elongated like 1/32 of an inch - it's not much. You don't even need a dremel - you can just scrape it out with a pocketknife if necessary. You could also use a drill. A dremel with a small bit just makes it easier (less than a minute for both grips, including digging the dremel out of the tool cabinet) - I used a small straight, flat-ended carbide bit that is small enough to fit in the hole, and the result looks scary professional. These grips really, really improve the appearance of my 22/22mag Single Six - those stock black "hard rubber" (actually plastic) grips look terrible (and cheap) in comparison. I highly recommend these grips. If they happen to be on backorder, get them ordered anyway - it's well worth the wait!
