Nice mount!

I bought this to mount a leupold VXIII 1.5-5x 20 scope to my AR. Works great, very solid and well built. I compared it to my leupold mark 4 IMS base and 30mm ring insert. The stoner mount holds the scope at exactly the same height, and slightly more forward, which I prefer so buy it!

Nice mount but not durable

I bought this mount for my Millett scope and it was just what I needed for my AR-15. HOWEVER, after 4-5 days of heavy use (500-600 rounds in an intensive training environment), the forward nut came loose and flew off into never-never land and the mounting screw just fell on the ground during a malfunction clearing exercise. This is not something you want to see - parts dropping off your mount when you need it the most.

The nut is now MIA and since this is a specialized custom-fit part, the scope mount is now junk since it can not be fixed with off-the-shelf parts.

It is a really nice mount, but my suggestion is to put loctite on it so the bits stay where they belong in adverse conditions.

Very nice mount. Not sure why some had issues installing it. It was very easy to install and only took a couple minutes. Can not beat the quality for the price. Will buy more.

Solid construction, holds ...

Solid construction, holds the scope well even if the 2 piece design is kind of annoying to put on and take off. The reason for the 3 star rating, I put a 6-18x30 Nikon scope on a 22" CMMG upper. I have all but run out of elevation on my scope going up just to sight it in at 100 yards. I need to find a way to shim or angle the scope downward to actually be able to get some distance in my elevation in my optics. Other than it needing to be angled downward it's a fine piece of gear.

Simple, solid, made in the USA and a decent price. If you need a QD model American Defense and Larue are the way to go, I have several. If you won't be removing the scope much, this is your mount. Very easy to mount and level your scope. I will be buying more.

Tedious and awkward to ...

Tedious and awkward to install since it is a vertical ring/base combo. Extremely well made except for a tiny area of ring edge which did not get fully dehorned. Maybe the slowest mount available to remove and reinstall. Not recommended if you intend to use BUIS. Prevents removal of my upper handguard with a 2x7. A Leupold Mark AR 1.5x4 may allow upper handguard removal. Medium height for decent cheek weld. Sleek, strong, and handsome. This mount has an expensive and professional appearance. The finish has a parkerized look and is outstanding. A real bargain for those who intend to use a scope exclusively. To my knowledge, this mount and a Redfield 2x7 is the least expensive way to scope a flattop with American made components.
