This 1-piece mount from Nightforce has 2 rings built in. Aluminum and titanium construction yields strength with a lightweight design. For use with any Picatinny-style rail. Note: rail must be a minimum of 6 slots long to accept this mount, and total length will extend over 10 slots.

This little jewel is ...

This little jewel is exceptionally well made and finished. Mine came without the pictured 'NF" logo on the ring tops. Horizontal split rings do not obscure elevation adjustments from shooting position, as do other mounts having vertical split rings. Weighs about 6 oz. Centerline of ring bore is 35.5mm above the mounting rail surface. On a Starrett test fixture I got about 10 minutes base taper vs. the 20 minutes in Nightforce specs. This item is a wonderful mounting solution for your AR type rifle... probably too high for a bolt rifle.

I purchased the ...

I purchased the Nightforce Unimount at the same time I bought the 3.5-15x 50mm scope and I am really glad that I did. I have two AR-15s and the ability to take the scope and mount off one rifle and put in on the other is really great. Of course, there is a small difference in the way the two shoot, so I do have to sight it in for the second rifle when I move it. But, generally I note the setting for the one I use the most and then when I return it to that rifle, it requires only a shot or two to confirm the zero. I would recommend that anyone buy this mount with the Nightforce scope (or any other scope with a 30mm tube). It is really great.

My purpose for buying ...

My purpose for buying this particular mount was to be able to use a Nightforce scope on multiple guns while working up loads so as to eliminate concerns about the scope as a variable. I am convinced that once the scope is squared to the mount with feeler gauges(so that the cross hairs are vertical to the gun), and mounted to the gun with an accurate rail such as that which Nightforce makes, on guns of similar make and length(due to eye relief); you could literally make notes on scope settings,and then use the same scope on multiple guns with little worry about sighting the gun in when the scope is remounted in the same slots, and dialed back to the same elevation and windage (assuming the same load). Such is the accuracy of the mounts and reliability of Nightforce scope adjustment.
