SPG Black Powder Bullet Lube is specially formulated by experienced black powder cartridge shooters to minimize leading and keep fouling soft. Even though it is intended for blackpowder cartridges, it works equally well with smokeless powder. Composed of beeswax and other natural ingredients, SPG lube has a melting point of 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

I have been using this lube in 40-65 and 45-70 with black powder. My 30 inch barrels clean up very easily. Lube keeps the fouling very soft. Accuracy is very good.

Great lube...priced competitively with other lubes. I use in Remington rolling block 43 Spanish. Fowling stays soft and easy to remove.

I have used this lube [spg] for about a year now and It's very good. I use It on black powder cartridge , 40/65 sharps, I do not clean between shots , I ues BLACK powder only , and the last shot is as good as the first ! I also use It on smokeless powder lead bullets ,with the same results good !! try It you will like It!!!

SPG is so good that it doesn't take more than five minutes to clean my rifles after shooting. I use it in a vintage Ballard, Remington Rolling Block, and Trapdoor Springfield. I use soft lead bullets (40:1, lead to tin alloy) and lower amounts of H4198 powder. But SPG also works with black powder and the replica powders better than anything on the market. You get far less leading at the lower velocities I shoot at (1,100 fps to 1,350 fps). Yes it is costly, but it saves vintage barrels, and that saves me money in the long run.

Stays on the bullet in ...

Stays on the bullet in hot weather. Works very well as grease cookie for large capacity cases or paper patched bullets. Not quite up to task in hot Texas weather.
