Speer Hot-Cor Flat Nose Bullets are designed for safe use in firearms with tubular magazines. These bullets also hold together better because the Hot-Cor process eliminates the lead oxide layer that's found between the core and jacket of conventional "cold core" bullets. This translates into a bullet that offers deeper penetration and greater expansion that is needed for taking larger game. This is not loaded ammunition.

I have shot only paper with this bullet in a 14-inch barrel Lone Eagle .357 Rem Maximum. Tried several brands and bullets styles. This one is far superior for accuracy in my pistol and will shoot touching holes at 100 yards with the Speer Manual load shown with H110.

I have been shooting the Speer 180 Grain FP bullet for the past 20 years from my 14-7/8" barreled XP-100 in .358 Winchester. It will still print 3/4" groups at 100 yards all day with H322 pushing it. I built a .358 Winchester custom rifle with a 24" barrel and dropped an Aoudad at 349 yards one shot through and through this past weekend, it too will group under 1 MOA at 100 yards. I have anchored moose, elk, deer, black bear and antelope with my XP-100 when I lived in Wyoming and swear by this bullet. Now that I live in Texas, it makes short work of the wild hogs with stellar penetration even on the really big pigs. I hope they never stop making this one as I am building a 35 Whelen now and I have high hopes that it too will shot this bullet as well as my other 35 caliber guns. Thank you for selling such a fine product.

This is the only bullet I now us in my 14 inch T/C. I have harvested 15 whitetails with this bullet pushed with a heavy load of H322 vel 2270. One shot one kill.

I am very impressed with this bullet. I have used it in a marlin 336c in 35 Rem and was surprised at the consistent 1 1/2 " groups at 100 yds.Just took my first deer with this bullet. It dropped in it's tracks. It was a complete pass through & wound channel was good. Great round.

Used this bullet in a .358 Norma at over 3000 fps. It kills like lightning and holds together unless heavy bone is hit on MS deer. One the most accurate in my rebarreled Ruger with heavy doses of 4064.

I have used this bullet exclusively in reloading for my Marlin 336's in .35 Remington. I use it to hunt whitetail deer in heavy brush. The performance of this bullet has been beyond expectations.The groups are very tight, and the flatter trajectory allows me to use a 150 yard zero. The last 4 deer I have shot have all been one-shot kills, and the animals have dropped in their tracks. I would certainly recommend this bullet on deer sized game.

From a 20" Marlin 336, 35 Rem at 2000 fps, groups are consistently 1-1/2" at 100 yards, using H4895. Has been excellent on Kansas Whitetail. At 10 feet, it penetrated 21" in wet newspaper and left a 3/4 to 1" hole all the way and 100% weight retention...perfect!

I tried these bullets in my .35 Remington Woodsmaster semi-auto. They fed and cycled through the action very nicely. Accuracy was good too, less than 2 inch groups at 50 yards. Haven't had a chance to use them on any deer yet.

Even though I have not shot a deer with it yet I get constant .580 groups at 100yds. Not bad for a well worn lever action. Almost no kick. Does show more copper buildup in the barrel than other bullets in this caliber

Have used Speer 180 gr flat nose in my T/C Contender 35 Rem Super 14 since 1981 and have taken 20-25 deer with it, all 1 shot kills. Range from 20 yards to 175. Zero at 100 yds I shoot dead on from 0-150 yds. Heavy doses of IMR 4198 gives me velocity in the 2200 range. Would not consider any other bullet for a Contender.
